The introduction of the WRX in late 1992 was a game changer for AWD sports cars. The WRX was largely inspired by the World Rally Championship and the WRX would soon see it's way to the podium. This example with just 75k miles has been left unmodified and is in excellent condition. The Cardinal Red (936) exterior shows very well and has no major damage. The paint is in beautiful condition and the body is very straight with no major dents or dings. In addition to the aggressive OEM front bumper and fog lights the WRX models received and aluminum hood with a functional hood scoop for the intercooler. The OEM side skirts and rear lip are also present and in great condition. A set of 16" alloy wheels have been installed and look the part on this WRX.

The interior is just as well kept as the exterior. The WRX models received special seats with red inserts and larger bolsters to keep the passengers firmly in the seats during spirited driving. There is very little wear on the seats and they have no major rips or tears. The dash is also in great condition with no cracks or major sun damage. The carpet is free of any major stains as well and the door panels and in great condition with no rips or other major damage only light wear. The OEM Nardi steering wheel was standard on WRX's and while the grip does show some wear, the steering wheel feels fantastic.

The heart of the WRX is the EJ20T, a 2.0L turbocharged boxer engine mated to a AWD 5 speed manual transmission. The engine starts, idles, and accelerates properly and the sound is unmistakably Subaru. The 5 speed transmission shifts smoothly with no grinds. This is an awesome car to drive and feels much more nimble and lighter than the later turbocharged models the U.S. received. This is the WRX that started a long lasting legacy that is still going strong! Own the original today!
