Anybody remotely familiar with the S chassis knows just how hard it is to find one that hasn't been modified and beaten at this point. There's a reason for that, this is one of the most versatile platforms out there. With its combination of power, style, and infinite options for parts makes it truly a swiss army knife of cars. Our '93 K's is one of those needles in a haystack car having been kept mostly all stock over its 25 years. Only having 64K verified miles is simply the icing on top of the cake. It's Silver Ice Blue (FL0) paint looks fantastic and is a great change of pace from the typical Super Black. The color really is unique and once you get it out into the sunlight the metallic really gleams. The body has been maintained just as well with merely a door ding or two to note. The only change up to the exterior is a wheel swap in favor of a set of R32 5 spoke wheels which give it that OEM+ look.

The interior has been held to the same standards and it really shows. The S14 interior is leaps and bounds ahead of the S13 when it comes to overall refinement. While it still has a very to the point layout the materials used simply seem to hold up better. While the S13 was notorious for cracked dashes this one is free of any discoloration or damage. That follows around to the door panels and the center console as all of the fabrics are still taught and the plastics are free of any accelerated wear. The only spot of note is the driver's seat bolster as it does have some wear from getting in and out. Since there are no egregious rips or tears a good upholstery shop could probably correct it with ease. Barring that bit of wear, all of the seats look great as far as stains and discolorations are concerned. The other high wear items like the steering wheel, shift knob, and button faces are all in excellent condition and all still the OEM pieces. The only change up was the addition of a really slick Defi gauge pack that looks as if it could have been a factory accessory. Of course, this did come with all of the actual factory accessories; power windows, door locks, mirrors, and automatic climate control that's still blowing cold air. This one even has the original books still in the glovebox.

The reason to purchase an S chassis is its rewarding drive, and its sizeable aftermarket support (if you want to take that route.) The key to it all is the SR20DET sitting beneath the hood. This potent power plant has a reputation for being a real fire-breather, even in stock trim. Just like the rest of the car the engine bay is just as OEM as the rest of the car. The only two additions are a Tomei brake booster brace and a HKS Hi-Power Silent catback exhaust. The booster brace is designed to help keep a solid pedal feel when you brake and the exhaust is arguably a necessity. The factory exhaust doesn't do the car any justice, whereas the HKS gives it a more fitting tone. The SR quickly jumps to life and has no problem pulling all the way to redline. Shifts through the proper 5 speed transmission are smooth without and grinds. The clutch feels proper and does not slip in any driving conditions. The factory suspension does a great job of balancing normal driving comfort with the ability to keep you planted when you throw it into a turn. Also helping out the suspension are 4 new tires to properly put that power to the ground. This S14 really is an untouched gem that would make for an ideal daily driver or the more realistic garage queen. Combined with just the right balance of power and handling, paired with its low cost of ownership you really couldn't ask for anything more!
