Toyotas popular Land Cruiser 80 series was sold here in the USA, and renowned for its ease of ownership, luxurious appointments, and rugged 4x4 capabilities. This 1992 FZJ80 is offered with only 96K verified miles and is finished in an understated Light Beige Metallic (4K1.) The body is in good shape other than some light scratches, scuffs, and dings associated with normal wear and tear. This VX Limited trim level comes well equipped with a set of factory rainguards, OEM Coolbox, and a slew of power options. The off-road look is accentuated with aftermarket wheels and a bevy of appearance upgrades including a chrome AIBA Works brush guard and oversized fender extensions.

The cockpit is cavernous and has tons of room for people and cargo. The driver's position is above traffic and the visibility is great in the 80's. The cognac-colored Alcantara is in good shape and matches the brown hues and wood grain accents in the cabin. A coolbox icemaker center console was one of the only options besides the functional sunroof which is equipped. The auto climate control works as it should, and its large buttons are easy to read and depress. The carpets and door cards are in good shape and a rare factory wood grain door panels look nice. The headliner does have some light strains but nothing egregious. The dash is devoid of any major cracking or warping although the faux wood air vent appliques are beginning to delaminate. An Eclipse head unit has replaced the OEM one and pipes tunes through the cabin. Rear occupants benefit from their own climate control system which can be independently regulated from the front zone.

The driveline in the example is shared with the US version of the truck, and make servicing a snap. Powered by a silky smooth 4.5L inline-six, you can barely feel any vibration while in the cabin. With a fresh semi-synthetic oil and filter service, the engine pulls hard and has a linear powerband. Acceleration is adequate and the loafing ute makes it way up to, and above, legal US freeway speeds. The gearing is fine for our roadways, and the automatic transmission is worry-free and operates at is should. The optional (K294) front and rear limited-slip, and locking center, differentials can help you out when you're in a bind. The aftermarket alloys are all wrapped in new all-season Falken rubber and can provide plenty of grip on loose surfaces and tarmac.
