The S14 Silvia was introduced in October 1993 and was an all-new exterior design for the Silvia. More rounded bodywork and modern interior updated both the styling and feel of the latest Silvia design. The engine also received an update as the SR20DET now came equipped with a larger turbo and VCT (Variable Cam Timing). This also bumped the horsepower up to 220hp vs the 205hp the S13 was rated at. This 1994 example is finished in Nissan's Super Black (KH3) and is in beautiful well-maintained condition. The paint shows great for its age with really only your typical little rock chips. The bodywork is all stock with the addition of a slick-looking chin spoiler. With the rear wing shaved it gives a very smooth profile that really compliments the revised bodywork. There are a few routine blemishes like some scuffs on the underside of the front bumper and some door dings collected over the years, but overall nothing or real concern to note. With 124K verified miles naturally, the car isn't showroom new, but it is in far better shape than cars we see on the road half its age. Rolling on a set of GTR wheels gives the Silvia some much-needed traction and has an OEM feel since its still a Nissan designed wheel after all. Since these do sit rather tall in stock form HKS was called upon to get the ride height and center of mass down to a more acceptable stance. With its meaty new rubber, the S14 really looks the part now.

The interior is also well maintained and rather clean as well with only a few modifications. Most notably the fixed back Bride bucket in place of the factory striped seat. The bucket is in fair shape as the side bolsters do have some accelerated wear from getting in and out which is pretty common. We're happy to report the rest of the factory seats are in great shape and are plenty comfortable on long cruises. The door panels are also very clean, have no rips or tears, and the fabric inserts are in great condition. All of the interior panels are present and in great shape with the exception of the dash. Per usual as with most all S chassiss the dash does have a few cracks along the top. A Shevron custom formed mat nicely cleans up the dash though and breaks up all of the plastic. The original wheel was even retained which is typically the first thing to break down over time and get swapped out. The aftermarket head unit is not powered so we didn't have a chance to check out the speaker situation but it's pretty common for them to just throw something in there so it's not just a large opening. However all of the power accessories are working as they should; the power windows, door locks, folding mirrors, and automatic climate control.

We all know what sets this car apart from its USDM counterpart, the SR20DET. The two-liter four-banger is known for it's power potential. In stock trim, these motors are no slouch, and with a few simple bolt-ons it really comes to life. An HKS intake makes the turbo known both in and outside of the cabin. Since stock trim is far too quiet for a car like this, a high flow Fujitsubo exhaust really wakes things up. Out of the gate, these cars are quick, the turbo spools up low down in the RPM range and pulls hard to the 7K redline. Mated to a proper 5-speed manual, rowing through the gears is a blast. The transmission shifts with ease and the clutch is rather forgiving. The HKS coilovers ride well, however, like any set of coilovers they are noticeably more stiff than factory. This one would make a great daily driver since parts are so readily available, and the sky is the limit when it comes to modifying down the road. The way it sits you already have an exceptional platform to start from or simply leave it as is. Since our techs have gone over the vehicle it's turn key thanks to the new tires, air filter, and oil change. The S14 really is the best of both worlds; timeless looks with a proven drive train. This car is really going to make someone's day!
