This 1992 Hilux Surf has everything you'd want out of a dependable, classic SUV without going overboard on budget. A smooth V6, stout selectable 4WD, and durable body on frame construction are just a few of the highlights of the N130 platform, and the 93k verified and documented miles on this example sweeten the deal even further. Fresh off a comprehensive service by our trained technicians, this lovely truck is turn key ready for a fresh and fruitful life stateside. Finished in Prussian Red/Grey (25T), the exterior styling is equally as timeless, and is accented by two-tone body cladding, a slick OEM optional brushguard with integrated fog lights, OEM rainguards, and a nifty factory spare tire swingarm. Rolling on refinished aftermarket alloys shod in 31" Falken Wildpeaks, this Surf excels in both form and function and would make a prime candidate for daily use here in the States. Comfortable, collectible, and easy on the eyes, it's no wonder why we deem this VZN130 a genuine Japanese Classic.

Much like the exterior, the interior has stood up to over three decades of use without succumbing to any extreme wear and tear. This should stand as a testament to Toyota's steadfast build quality as the interior upholstery is in above average shape, save for a tear on the driver's seat bolster and a hairline crack atop the gauge cluster hood. The remaining interior materials are in fine shape, from the matching cloth inserts in the door cards to the headliner and carpet beneath. The center stack houses a nifty, period correct, Carrozzeria audio system, which pumps out audio at above-average quality. Adjacent to the radio, the climate controls are easy to operate and cold A/C is on hand to guide you through these last dog days of summer. Daily use is made easy, thanks to functional power windows, locks, and power mirrors, and for demanding rearward passengers and pets, the rear glass can also unfurl electronically. This SUV excels at hauling passengers, and the rear bench can tumble forward should you prioritize cargo space instead. A tilt adjustable steering column accommodates drivers of all shapes and sizes, and the dash is unobtrusive giving you a clear view out of the windscreen. We've even retained the factory owner's manual, a nifty accessory you don't typically find in a 31 year old truck!

Under the bonnet, stateside enthusiasts will be pleased to see the 3VZ-E is nearly identical to examples offered in the US market. This makes parts acquisition and servicing nearly identical to our American models. After a new 12v battery and a fresh oil/filter service, a thorough drive cycle was performed and we installed a new timing belt, water pump, and all new serpentine belts to ensure this V6 runs like a top. The 3VZ breathes nicely through a new engine air filter and feels smooth and composed even at higher speeds. Power is sent through an automatic transmission, and selective 4WD is at the ready if you encounter snow, gravel, or sand. To get the driveline compliant with US safety standards, a new steering stabilizer was installed, and new front brake pads and rotors help reel in this body on frame beast if an abrupt stop is required. Lastly, the new Falkens not only look great, but they should deliver an abundance of traction and comfort in just about any on or off-road scenario!
