A special truck like this 1992 Land Cruiser needs little introduction. This imposing, low mileage, turbodiesel rig is a show stealer, with its fresh coat of Nori Green (6X4) paint. Set off by 16" Mickey Thompson wheels shod with 35" Falken rubber, LED tail lamps, OEM front rainguards, and aggressive privacy tint, this rig has a serious road presence. Aside from a few light imperfections, the body is in good shape, and this 4x4 is fresh off a recent service. At only 89k verified and documented miles, this thing is barely broken in! Efficient, torquey, and spacious, this terrific Toyota would make a killer trail rig, family hauler, or weekend cruiser. Escaping the confines of the city has never been better a more unique and stylish affair, and this trusty Japanese Classic is the perfect ride to do it in!

The cabin is massive for a Japanese SUV and is in really good nick as you might expect with such scant miles. The driver has a decent command of the road thanks to this truck's tall ride height, and a tilt adjustable steering column allows those behind the wheel to find the ideal driving position. The driver's seat also includes a power-adjustable lumbar support for good measure. A modern Pioneer touchscreen radio jazzes up the cabin and comes preloaded with some sweet-sounding Japanese tunes. The clarity isn't half bad and its loud enough to sufficiently drown out the kids fighting in the back seat. Dual-zone automatic climate control allows for proper mixing of the heat and A/C and if you prefer more natural ventilation an electric sunroof and power windows fully retract for a light breeze. To make daily driving more enjoyable, keyless entry is on hand, and power locks and electric mirrors work like they should. The tan cloth is in good shape and lacks any major rips or tears. The middle row can tumble forward too, making for a large cargo area. The door cards and headliner are in fine shape and appear to have withstood the past 30 years without sustaining major abuse. That's not to say the cabin is perfect as we wanted to note a tiny hairline dash crack that is hardly noticeable and is located on top of the gauge cluster hood. There is also some light staining on the upholstery, and the power antenna is inoperable as is the power folding function of the side mirrors. Still at almost three decades of use, it's clear the truck was cared for in Japan.

Body on frame, and underpinned by solid axles, this 80 is a tank! The legendary engine, the 1HD-T is equally impressive with its gobs of torque and incredible fuel economy. It runs nearly vibration-free, and this one churns to life care of two new 12v batteries. One of our trained techs replaced the valve cover gasket so that the oil stays internal to the 4.2L and it goes without saying this Landy is fresh off an oil and filter service. With all of our diesels, we always replace the fuel filter and we also installed a new engine air filter so that the 1HD-T breathes freely. Acceleration is impressive from such a behemoth and the automatic transmission is sturdy and shifts properly. Power is fed through a Full-Time 4WD system, and for low traction scenarios, a center locker and low range can be deployed. The ride quality is above average as we have replaced the shocks front and rear. This VX Limited gobbles up bumps and the ride quality is premium for an HDJ81. We rebuilt the front axles while it was in the air and also replaced the front panhard bushings and rear swaybar links for good measure. This hulk stops confidently as one of our trained techs has replaced the front and rear brake pads and the front rotors. The power steering is light yet on point and benefits from a reseal and fresh alignment. The wide M/T 16" alloys are all wrapped in new 35" rubber at each corner and should keep you covered on nearly every road surface!
