Stock #5069 **Mechanics Special, Does Not Run**

***This Land Cruiser is in above average structural condition and has previously passed Virginia State Safety Inspection, but the engine has severely overheated and has been dismantled. You must bring a trailer to pick up this Toyota or have it shipped

If you're looking for a project rig with character, it doesn't get much better than this 70 series Prado. In a seldom seen two-door short wheelbase configuration, this 1990 LJ71 is a fun little runabout that would be a great candidate for an engine swap, engine rebuild, or frankensteined off-road beast! Finished in a two tone brown over tan, the cosmetics have held up quite well over the years and the body only shows a few minor paint defects from daily use. Aiding aesthetic appeal, this rig is also set off by a front brushguard with dual driving lamps and OEM rainguards. Perhaps the most appealing part of the package, the 91k miles on the clock are verified, documented, and worth their weight in gold on any old Toyota. We did want to note that the pictured rear ladder, tire carrier, and left front fender light are not included on this wholesale unit. A standout 4x4 mechanics special, this might be the compact cruiser you're searching for!

This truck has a whole lot going for it, and the interior is certainly a highlight. The seats are trimmed in a two-tone butterscotch and tan cloth, which have fortunately resisted over three decades of use with nary a rip or tear. The dash is in great nick too, and houses a neat factory field monitor which still functions and accurately displays outside parameters. The center stack frames OEM audio, and a simple to use climate control system. Both power windows work, as do the power locks and electric folding side mirrors. Even the power moonroof retracts to let in a fresh breeze! The rear cargo hold is spacious, and the middle row can fit a few passengers comfortably without feeling too cramped thanks to this Prado's ample headroom. The interior needs almost nothing to be brought back to its former glory. Everything functions and it's exceptionally clean overall save for some light carpet staining. We even retained the owner's manual and plenty of good factory literature to help protect your investment!

In need of a new engine, the 2L-TE suffered from severe overheating. The engine is partially disassembled currently and the miscellaneous lines and accessories will be included in the purchase. This Cruiser is backed by a 4 speed automatic and selective 4WD. For off road or low traction scenarios, 4WD low can be engaged alongside electronically locking front hubs. The suspension is up to spec, as are the brakes. The alloys are wrapped in all-season tires that are low in tread and will require replacement soon. Still, the truck has great bones, is in great structural condition, and will have no issues passing state safety inspection once she's up and running!
