Toyota's SW20 MR2 is a true Japanese Classic in more ways than one. The driving experience borders on exotic levels of fun, the midship layout is enthralling, and it's a Toyota, so you save boatloads over owning similar European sport coupes! Our 1994 is a rare example, finished in the seldom seen Tropical Blue Pearl (8B6). Set off by a factory rear spoiler, this MR2 shows only a few light defects from daily use, like bubbles in the privacy tint, and the 94k verified and documented miles on the clock do a lot to protect your investment. A fond reminder of the Japanese bubble era, a worthy weekend warrior, and a sound investment to boot, there's nothing quite like this MR2!

The interior is in great condition for its age and has a few performance oriented upgrades to sweeten the deal! As far as cosmetics go, there's nothing too unsightly although the outside bolster on the Bride bucket seat appears to have worn over the years. The rest of the factory upholstery is in great shape, from the patterned cloth passenger seat to the matching fabric in the door cards. The dash is tidy, and the center stack boasts an upgraded Kenwood headunit with USB compatibility. Adjacent to the HVAC, automatic climate controls are easy to operate, with cold A/C and hot heat on standby for when it's needed most. The flimsy factory wheel has been replaced with a much more fitting Personal unit, which is leather wrapped and in great shape aside from some light separation and wear on the material. Both power windows unfurl with haste, and the power locks and mirrors work well too! As a factory slicktop, you need not worry about pesky water leaks, and save for a missing spare tire and a snug fit behind the wheel, there's little to complain about as a whole!

Embracing the "business in the front party in the back" mantra, the midship-mounted 3S-GTE is where the fun really begins. Mated to a slick shifting 5 speed box, it's a rewarding driving experience overall and ours is fresh off a comprehensive engine-out service covering most major mechanical systems! A new timing belt and water pump is a costly enough job in itself, and we changed out the cam seals, crank seal, oil pump seal, and installed a new oil pan gasket while we were in there. A new valve cover gasket buttons things up up top, and 4 new spark plugs were dropped in to aid ignition. Fresh off an oil and filter service, a new thermostat helps regulate engine temperatures and this 3S shoots right up to highway speeds with haste and an HKS Hi Power catback makes the 2.0L sing with passion. A new filter element was installed into the HKS intake, and a new in-line fuel filter helps strain any unwanted gunk out of your petrol. A real treat to operate, the 5 speed gearbox commands shifts with authority and we changed the right side output seal and performed a fluid flush to keep things up to spec. The OEM Bilstein suspension is compliant, and new front lower ball joints keep your handling from going awry. This MR2 now drives, steers, and stops like new and we bolstered the brakes with new front pads and rotors. All this good work would be for nothing if you couldn't put power to the ground safely, so we took care of 4 new Falken tires while she was up on the rack. We even gave this one a four wheel alignment to keep you tracking straight for the road ahead!
