We just got in a beautiful Midnight Blue Pearl (TH1) 1991 180SX. The color itself is a huge standout as it's very hard factory color to find. The paint is incredibly rich and really pops in the sunlight. The paint itself is in great shape with minimal blemishes. The body has been kept in a similar condition with minimal dents or dings. The exterior is mostly all original, it does have the factory upgraded side skirts and rear spats to compliment the long nose of the 180. To help out the stance and improve handling a set of GAB coilovers were installed. Sitting on a set of 16" Modia wheels completes the look. The wheels were designed by the Drift King Keiichi Tsuchiya and look killer.
The interior has a similar mix of aftermarket and OEM equipment. Hands down one of the nicest features are the matching 30th Anniversary Recaros. The seats have been kept in great shape and only show minor signs of use. To keep things clean a Momo Corse 3 spoke wheel and Razo shift knob were installed. An Apexi Super AFC (Air Fuel Controler ) is mounted below the Momo steering wheel. To keep an eye on boost pressure a Greddy gauge has been mounted to the dash. One of the most chronic issues with the S chassis are cracked dashes. Unfortunately we do have a crack in this dash but overall it looks surprisingly good. The rest of the interior has been kept as clean as the exterior. The door panels and carpets are free of any notable rips or stains. A 1.5 din Alpine receiver has been added along with two 6x9 speakers in the rear hatch cover. Underneath that cover is also a rear strut bar for added rigidity.
The heart of the 180SX is the beloved red top SR20DET. Under the hood has been kept mostly original with just a few choice upgrades. The Blitz blow off valve is a sure standout and sounds pretty awesome. A strut tower brace looms above everything to help keep the suspension in check. When under load you can't miss the high flow Fujitsubo exhaust. It sounds great under throttle without giving you a headache. The SR fires right up and delivers power very smoothly. The cluster reads 71K miles however the mileage has not been verified. From the way the car drives it seems to be accurate but without documentation we cannot guarantee. The 5 speed feels great and shifts with ease; the clutch has a very positive engagement point. The previous owner did a killer job of getting everything to this point, and has made one great daily driver. Of course with the S chassis being such a popular platform there's no limit of ways to take this car to make it your own.
