1990 Toyota Mark II JZX81
The JZX81 has become a popular platform thanks to its sleek lines and stout 1JZ-GTE power plant. Although it currently has 192k original miles, this 1990 Mark II has obviously been well maintained, and the valid Japanese inspection sticker shows it was driven until recently. The exterior overall is in good shape and all body panels are straight. The two tone paint still shines nicely and fits the body lines well.
The interior has been well taken care of and features the OEM digital dash. The leather items(steering wheel, shifter, etc.) show some wear. The seats and door panels have no major rips or tears and very little wear. The dash is free of cracks and bubbles and the carpet has no significant staining.
The twin turbo 2.5L inline-six starts right away and pulls nicely under boost. Power is transmitted through the automatic transmission which shifts smoothly. Although rare, the vehicle was offered with a manual transmission, so a swap is a possibility. Overall this Mark II is a great starting point for the next owner with the modification being a set of 15” mesh wheels.
