1989 Honda NSR250R
The concept of a two-stroke sports bike may seem simple enough – but with the MC 18 NSR250R Honda took it a step further with an advanced Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM) system. The system utilizes throttle position, engine speed, and ignition timing to create a 3D map which allows for rapid changes and precise control through the rev range. The PGM-II system found in this 1989 NSR250R is an even more evolved version. The 249cc v-twin is mated to a six-speed cassette gearbox and nestled between a lightweight aluminum frame – providing plenty of power and a dry weight under 300lb.
It was purchased from an individual who had a small sports bike collection and was the second owner. It includes a tool kit and the factory owner’s manual. Overall it’s in good condition and has been left unmodified allowing a clean slate for the next owner. The fairings do show normal wear from use over the years which includes light blemishes and a few cracks in the front cowl.
Mechanically this example has been well maintained. The previous owner overhauled a number of components including the front fork, carburetor, oil pump, and oil tank. Additional maintenance performed at our facility includes cleaning and lubricating the chain and flushing the brake fluid. ***All of our vehicles come with a valid Virginia title, transferable to all 50 states, and a copy of the U.S. Customs release.
