In 1991 Nissan began offering S13 chassis vehicles with the SR20DET direct from the factory. This particular vehicle has a January build date and is one of the first legal SR20DET S13s in the country. The side skirts and rear valance are OEM Kouki Type-X pieces. The wheels have been upgraded to genuine 17” Kei Offices by the previous owner. It’s been repainted at some point but is by no means perfect. The body is in very nice shape with no major dents or dings and straight panels. Currently it has 91k Original Miles.

The interior is above average for a 25 year old vehicle. The seats are in very nice shape with no major rips or tears and minimal bolster wear. The dash has the typical S13 crack but is free of bubbling – Autogauge water temperature and boost gauges have been installed. An aftermarket Momo steering wheel, HKS boost controller, and turbo timer wrap up the interior upgrades. At some point the carpet in the rear hatch area was removed along with the A/C system. Trim pieces, door panels, and the headliner are all in good shape with no major defects.

Mechanically this 180SX has been extensively modified. Starting in the engine bay the turbocharger has been upgraded to a Greddy T517Z Turbo. The turbocharger is fed via an upgraded intake and HKS front mount intercooler. Exhaust exits through an authentic Tomei exhaust manifold, HKS 3” downpipe, and full 3” test pipe exhaust – the sound is superb. Fuel is supplied via larger 550cc injectors and GT-R fuel pump. The ECU has been tuned to allow the system to work as a whole. Lower ride height is achieved from Tein coilovers. Cusco front and rear strut bars and solid rear bushings help stiffen the chassis. An aftermarket LSD and HICAS delete kit have been added by the previous owner.

Overall a very quick 180SX that’s enjoyable to drive.
