1990 Autech Cefiro
Available for: $14,495
The Nissan Cefiro is one of Nissan's most underrated cars from the early 90's. It has the best of Nissan's mechanical designs wrapped up in one cool looking sedan. The drive train is shared with the R32 Skyline while the suspension is shared with the S13 Silvia. This particular example is the very rare Autech version which was not only very limited in production but the combination of the desirable Midnight Blue Pearl (TH1) color, 5 speed manual transmission, and being an genuine Autech version makes this one the most rare A31 Cefiro's ever produced. Having just 118k original miles, this Cefiro drives excellent and has been well maintained throughout it's years in Japan. The exterior is in fantastic shape for a vehicle this age. The beautiful Midnight Blue Pearl paint is arguably the most desirable color offered on the A31 and while the paint is in great condition overall it does have some expected condition issues you would expect with a 29 year old vehicle. The body is very straight and there are no major dings, dents, or other notable issues with the body. The clear coat is in good condition overall although it is starting to fail at the top of the doors where it meets the window trim. The bumpers were redesigned for the Autech model and side skirts were added as well. These are original pieces and impossible to find genuine ones. The bumpers are not a perfect color match but are genuine Autech, not copies. The exterior remains stock on this rare A31 with the exception of a set of 15" Watanabe wheels finished in a gunmetal which compliments the Midnight Blue perfectly.
The Autech Cefiro received an upgrade on the inside as well. The door panels are seats are trimming in genuine Connolly leather which is one of the UK's oldest and most renowned automotive leather trimmer. The drivers seat has been replaced by a reclinable Recaro unit and the steering wheel has been exchanged for an aftermarket black leather wheel. The leather seats do have some condition issues, most notably the age cracks common on genuine leather seats and a tear on the left side of the rear seat. The door panels are in great condition and there are no rips tears or cuts on any of the panels but there is some noticeable wear from normal use on the drivers side pull handle. The dash does have the common dash bubble but is clean with no cracks or other issues. All trim panels are in tact and in good condition including the trunk panels and spare tire cover.
The heart of the Autech Cefiro is what makes this car even more special. The factory RB20DET has been upgraded from the factory with a larger turbo, Autech tuned ECU, and larger intercooler giving the Autech Cefiro a more powerful punch from the factory. The "Tuned by Autech" badge adorns the intake manifold and valve covers are the recognizable Autech olive green color. This well maintained Cefiro drives great. The engine starts up quickly and acceleration feels excellent. The 5 speed transmission shifts smoothly with no grinds and the clutch shows no signs of slipping. An aftermarket set of coilovers have been added which not only improve handling but get the stance on the Cefiro down to an acceptable level. Our trained technicians have completed a full mechanical inspection and all service is up to date including 4 brand new tires.
