In 1997 Nissan was heading towards the millennia with plenty of sports car momentum. This R33 is a fine example of the brand's front engine and rear drive architecture, with its near 50/50 weight distribution and smooth inline-six powerplant. Finished in White (QM1), and set off by a set of OEM rainguards and a factory midrise rear spoiler, the paint is in good shape aside from some light dings, chips, and scratches associated with normal use. Fresh off a recent service, this turn-key Type S is offered with a mere 67k verified and documented miles. Reliable, stylish, unique, easy to service, and fun to drive, these naturally aspirated coupes are ideal for those who are looking for something affordable and accessible. As a daily driver, weekend cruiser, or a clean slate to modify this lovely Skyline is a real-deal Japanese Classic.

The cabin was a massive step up in quality from the R32. Larger, safer, and loaded with more amenities, it's a comfortable place to enjoy a commute. The view of the road is clean and unobstructed, and this coupe comes with dual front SRS airbags, for some additional peace of mind. The dash itself lacks any cracking or fading and houses a centrally mounted automatic climate control system and factory audio unit. Both work as advertised, and make daily use pleasurable. The seats are in above-average shape and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. Aside from a small bolster repair on the driver side bucket, there is little to complain about, and the textured blue and alcantara combo break up the charcoal interior palette nicely. The headliner, matching door cards, and carpets are in above-average shape, and were obviously taken care of overseas. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column, power windows, door locks, and mirrors. These all work properly, aside from the power-folding function on the side mirrors. At 25 years of age it's remarkable how well this thing has held up, and we feel the next owner will appreciate its condition. Even the maintenance booklet, owner's manual, and spare key are included with the sale of this special little car!

Entering its ninth generation, the R33 became more structurally rigid, larger, and faster. This naturally aspirated model won't be blowing out C7 Vettes on the drag strip, but it has enough power to make daily use enjoyable. The RB20E is fresh off an oil and filter service and whirs to life care of a new 12v battery. A new engine air filter and fuel filter aid proper fuel combustion, and the RB idles with hardly a vibration. For those concerned with the overall cost of ownership and protecting your investment, rest assured that the most expensive maintenance service has been performed on this Series 2.5. One of our trained techs has replaced the timing belt and added a new water pump to give the straight-six a new lease on life. While we were in there we also replaced the aging thermostat so that the single-cam mill can manage its thermal load. Power is fed through a notchy five-speed manual gearbox and sent to the rear wheels. The gearbox shifts without a hitch or grind and makes great use of the two-liter engine's powerband. The handling is natural and balanced and the suspension can confidently sort through uneven pavement. The steering is power-assisted, nicely weighted, and communicative, too. The ABS brakes are able to slow this coupe down in a jiffy, as well, and the Skyline hunkers down instead of nosing down like a less balanced FWD platform would. To reduce the road noise and deliver all the year-round grip this Nissan needs, new all-season tires were mounted and balanced at all four corners. They will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and take all the weather you can throw at them!
