The Nissan 300zx is one of the best all-around sports cars from the '90s. Its striking looks, well-engineered drivetrain, and excellent suspension leave little to be desired. This 1995 example is in wonderful condition, with a mere 94k verified and documented miles, and drives like a dream. The exterior is finished in one of the best colors for the Z, Arctic White Pearl (QN0). The paint is in superb condition overall showing only minor scuff and dings from normal use. The body is straight and has some minor trim wear that you'd expect from a vehicle this age and notable repairs in Japan include a new front bumper. Upgrades to the exterior include an optional OEM set of forged BBS wheels which were available on the Version S model in 1995. The cockpit-like cabin is also in great condition, and features a set of excellent condition Recaro confetti seats along with a sporty Nardi steering wheel upgrade. The seats show no rips or tears and while there is some sun fading on the driver's seat, it's minor. The dash is also in great condition and does not suffer from the typical UV damage seen around the defrost vents. The door panels show only light wear, and no rips or tears. The power windows work great along with the power locks, which make daily use enjoyable. The climate control is located to the left of the steering wheel and blows cold A/C or hot heat to keep you comfortable. The fan speed knob is missing, but it can still be adjusted easily. The carpets and headliner are both clean and have no rips or major stains. The rear seats are clean and look to be hardly used. The rear interior trim is all intact and the plastics are in nice shape too. The factory cargo cover is even included! The factory audio functions but could stand to be updated to something more modern and speaker quality is decent, but they are certainly original. Overall this well-maintained and tidy interior is the perfect place to be sitting while enjoying a proper drive in this GT!
Powering this Z is the 3.0L naturally aspirated VG30DE. This engine was offered on the US models, so maintenance is a breeze as parts are readily available. Connected to a proper 5-speed transmission, driving is fun and involved. The transmission shifts properly with no grinds and the clutch engagement is easy with no signs of slipping. Acceleration is surprising and the Z gets up to speed quickly. The brakes received new pads on the front and rear by one of our trained technicians, and are responsive when needed. The suspension also received new rear struts making the ride comfortable, yet still sporty. Four brand new tires assist with traction and ride comfort, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. Rounding out the maintenance is a fresh oil and filter change and a new 12v battery ensuring trouble-free starts for years to come.
