It's not often we bring a left hand drive vehicle into inventory. When we do, it has to be special, and we'd say this 2003 IS300 Sport Design fits the bill! Utilizing a laundry list of top-shelf aero, suspension, and drivetrain modifications, this 2JZ-GTE swapped IS is one of the nicest USDM examples we've seen thus far. Finished in Ferrari's Rosso Corsa, the bespoke exterior is set off by a Vertex S Endurance bumper with Vertex canards and a custom front splitter to give this Lexus a time attack inspired aesthetic. Clinched fender flares house a set of 18x10/18x11 Volk TE37SL's, and a massive APR carbon fiber wing is installed on custom mounts to keep things interesting out back. Illumination is hardly a concern thanks to one-off headlights and LED tail lamps, and the rear bumper was cut and modified to accommodate a custom rear diffuser and center exit exhaust. C-West side skirts round off the slew of aftermarket aero and subtle privacy tint and custom graphics tie everything together. With 195,000 documented chassis miles and much less on the GTE swap, this JCE10 was clearly cared for in a prior life and is nearly perfect despite having a salvage title. A car show champion, SEMA standout, and beloved project for one of our dear staff members, we feel proud calling this IS300 a Japanese Classic!

The party doesn't stop at just the exterior. In fact, it extends throughout the cabin and this lovely Sport Design is just itching to get out on the road course. Status Ring GT seats replace the factory buckets with red Status harnesses to match. Despite suffering from the infamous "sticky dash" the interior cosmetics are no worse for the wear and are still in good shape for the miles. The center stack houses an easy to use automatic climate control system and upgraded Pioneer touch screen audio. The sound quality is well above average through the JBL speakers. A Personal Trophy steering wheel is mounted to a quick release hub, replacing a flaky factory unit, and a slew of Prosport gauges are mounted within the driver's peripherals so you can monitor vitals out on the road. All power windows, locks, and side mirrors work as advertised, and the power moonroof unfurls with haste. The headliner is tight and tidy, and the carpet is protected with some factory floormats. This IS steals the show from the outside, but the interior makes it plenty enjoyable for daily use as well!

The 2JZ-GTE under the hood is far from what this little sedan left the factory with, but it feels nearly OEM and is bolstered by a few quality performance modifications and plenty of good maintenance to boot. A Comp 6767 single turbocharger replaces the pesky factory twins, and an ARC airbox feeds the beast, with a 3" front mount intercooler keeping your charge temperatures cool. A BEE*R rev limiter is ideal for spirited driving or showing off, and an HKS blow off valve and Tial Wastegate help regulate boost pressure. A Mishimoto radiator keeps things cool and the timing belt, water pump, and fuel pump were replaced when the motor was installed. For good measure, we also mounted up a new alternator and A/C compressor to get the mechanicals up to spec. Mated to the original W55 gearbox, the 5 speed does a swell job at sending power rearward and a factory LSD distributes all those sweet ponies. The suspension is a highlight of this lovely JCE10, with freshly rebuilt Fortune Auto PRO 2-Way dampers with Swift Springs keeping this Lexus planted to the tarmac. Fortune Auto Air Cup Lift System is fed by a ViAir compressor and installed on all four corners to clear any larger road imperfections. Ikeya Formula rear LCA's and adjustable toe arms help dial in the handling aside upgraded sway bars and strut tower bars, and Rotora front calipers stop this red beast on a dime. We installed a new upper ball joint at the rear left, and performed a fresh alignment to keep her tracking straight to the next car show! The Toyo R888's are knee deep in tread and serve as the last line of defense between you and the pavement. A potential touring car champ, weekend warrior, or car show standout, you'd be hard pressed to find a turn key IS300 this nice at any other shop!
