Exterior Overview
The name Toyota is synonymous with dependability. That can come in handy when you’re traversing terrain far away from civilization. This 2000 Land Cruiser has the stones to get you there, and this handsome 4×4 looks darn good doing it. Finished in a classic Pearl White (057), this VX Limited model is set off by a Prinsu roof rack, a stylish OEM rear spoiler, LED tail lamps, OEM rainguards, and snazzy ICON alloy wheels. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use, the paint is in good shape, and this luxury rig is fresh off a comprehensive service. Boasting a meager 141k verified and documented miles on the clock, this V8-powered beast has logged a fraction of the use of most of our domestic stock. Refined, practical, and easy to service, this Japanese Classic won’t disappoint. Perfect as a year-round family hauler, cool weekend cruiser, or dedicated overlander, this do-it-all SUV can be yours today!
Interior Overview
Boasting optional leather upholstery and nearly every option in the books, this Cruiser has one heck of a cabin. The largest interior we sell, access to the cavernous cockpit is made easier with functional keyless entry. The dashboard is in good shape and includes integrated dual SRS airbags. The driver and passenger also benefit from power adjustable heated seats, which do a swell job at keeping your tush warm. For those who plan to daily drive, power folding mirrors, electric locks, and cruise control are standard and work like a charm. The center stack is close by and within arm’s reach. The audio system can also be accessed through the same screen as the climate controls. The aftermarket speakers boom, and the digital dual zone system makes supplying cold A/C and hot heat throughout the cabin a simple affair. Rear occupants also have their own controls. If you prefer more natural ventilation, each window has an auto down feature, and a panoramic sunroof can tilt and retract with the press of a button. The seats are trimmed in a rare tan leather. Aside from some normal age related wear, they lack any major rips, stains, or tears, and the front two buckets have been reupholstered in a prior life. The middle row can slide forward and split fold, and the rear jump seats can be stowed conveniently against the D pillar. The headliner and door cards are in good shape, as are the carpets, aside from some minor stains. We also wanted to note the power steering column no longer telescopes in and out, but that does little to take away from this cabin’s fantastic condition, as it’s extremely evident it was well cared for in Japan!
Mechanical Overview
The J100 is a beefy SUV, and the same can be said about the engine under the hood. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2UZ-FE churns to life immediately courtesy of a new 12v battery, and new hood struts were installed to make fluid checks easier. We also installed a new alternator so this Cruiser starts up the first time, every time. We addressed a leaky oil pan gasket, and with the maintenance performed, this dual overhead cam engine is a blast to drive. It’s linked to a stout automatic gearbox that shifts just as it should. Underpinned by a Full-Time 4WD system, this rig also includes a center locking differential and low-range gearset. It hustles up to highway speeds with ease and is a comfortable freeway commuter. The suspension was refreshed slightly, and the ride quality is premium to say the least. New rear upper and lower control arms keep things compliant for state safety inspection. This behemoth is easy to maneuver with functional power steering, and the ABS brakes stop on a dime if you need to come to an abrupt halt. The ICON wheels are wrapped in Falken all-terrain tires, which give this overland inspired rig some serious panache. The rubber looks mean, quells road noise, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. With style, substance, and service, this Cruiser does just about everything well and is road trip ready!
