Exterior Overview

Interior Overview
The cabin feels much larger than the exterior dimensions suggest. Everyone gains quick access inside the cockpit with working keyless entry. The bench seat and column shift are more than just a novelty and add to the functionality. Once inside, a tilt-adjusting steering column awaits the driver. Power mirrors, electric locks, and power windows all work in typical Toyota fashion, improving daily driving. The center stack includes an OEM audio system that supplies tunes to supplement your road trip, and the air conditioning and heat work like a charm, making cruising a more comfortable affair. Dual SRS airbags are standard for those who value safety. The glove box is sizable, and the cup holders are stable and easily accessible. The gray and black upholstery is in above-average shape, and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The material is mirrored in the door cards, which are also in good nick. The carpets and headliner have been cared for, too. The hatch opens wide to swallow cargo, and the middle seats split, fold, slide forward, and tumble to maximize the ability to carry gear. It’s clear the cockpit was cared for in a prior life overseas, and even the OEM carpet mats are included with the purchase of this little hauler.
Mechanical Overview
This front-drive compact is frugal on fuel while providing all the grunt needed to commute at US freeway speeds. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the 2NZ-FE cranks to life immediately courtesy of a new 12v battery. A new engine air filter helps the 1.3L breathe freely, and power is sent to the front wheels through an automatic gearbox. It shifts like a charm and feels stout for an econobox. It hustles up to highway merging speeds with ease and slows down promptly thanks to its light curb weight. It hugs the road and is nimble when driving spiritedly. We refreshed the suspension with new rear shocks and front sway bar endlinks. The power steering is light yet communicative, and the bB tracks straight as an arrow. Freshly aligned, the Toyo tires are knee deep in tread, and this turn key hauler would make for a cool marketing car, dependable daily driver, or unique weekend cruiser.
