Exterior Overview

For over sixty years, the designers at Porsche have worked to perfect its most renowned model, the 911. Fully revised for the 996 generation, this was the first new chassis since it began production in 1964, the first 911 to feature a water-cooled engine, and features a modern interior and numerous safety features to boot. This model year 2000 example is lovely, and sports timeless Zenith Blue (LA3X) paintwork. Aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs, the paint is in good shape, and this 2+2 is fresh off a recent service. Offered with only 77k verified and documented miles, this sports coupe would make for an ideal daily driver, cool canyon carver, or wicked weekend playtoy. Interior Overview

The cabin design is simple, modern, and features decent ergonomics. The swept dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and looks current. Dual SRS airbags are standard, as is ABS. The driver benefits from a telescoping steering column, and both occupants have electric adjustable seats. The gray leather is supportive and lacks any major imperfections aside from some light age-related wear. The center stack includes a touchscreen Pioneer headunit with Bluetooth integration, allowing the pilot to keep their hands firmly on the wheel. The sound quality is decent, too, and a simple-to-use digital climate system is below. The A/C blows cold as ice, and the heat warms up the cabin quickly if you plan any brisk morning drives. If you prefer more natural ventilation, the power windows and electric tilt and retracting moonroof slides back for a light breeze. The power locks and power mirrors all work, and make daily use more enjoyable. The alcantara headliner is in good shape, as are the carpets and door cards. We have even included the OEM carpet mats and maintenance booklet for the new owner to protect their investment.

Mechanical Overview

Reimagined for the new millennium, this Carrera drives like a modern sports car. The 3.4L engine is reliable, punchy, and sounds incredible with its signature boxer bark. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the M96 cranks to life with haste, care of a new 12V battery. A new engine air filter allows the powerplant to breathe properly and maximizes power. The flat-six pulls hard, all the way to redline, and has impressive throttle response. The engine is linked to a quick-shifting automatic with a tiptronic function, should the pilot want to select his or her own gears. It gets up to merging speeds instantly and can slow down with the best of them thanks to its large disc brakes with standard ABS. The power steering is communicative and on point, and one of our trained technicians has refreshed the suspension with all new Bilstein shocks and H&R springs which improve the ride quality a good deal. Two new front tires were mounted and balanced, and we performed a fresh alignment to prolong the tire life and improve the corrected suspension geometry. From Stuttgart, to Sakai, to the States, this well-traveled sports car is turn-key ready to rock, providing an exhilarating driving experience second to none!
