Exterior Overview
Too often is the 7th gen Celica slept on. Its brilliant naturally aspirated engine, close ratio six speed and knife-edged styling are all desirable, and as this chassis was sold in the States, so parts are easy to come by, and inexpensive. This 1999 is a special coupe, and is offered fresh off a recent service, with only 77k verified and documented miles on the clock. Finished in a snazzy coat of Wind Chill Pearl (089), this Toyota is set off by refinished OEM alloys, a factory rear spoiler, and an optional OEM Elegant Sports front lip, rear lip, and side skirts. Aside from a few light dings, chips and scuffs, the paint is in good shape and this four seater includes a modern cockpit with plenty of power amenities. Perfect as a fun commuter, cool canyon carver, or wicked weekend playtoy, this Japanese Classic offers more smiles per dollar than almost anything we retail!

Interior Overview
The cabin looks modern and includes a few upgrades and rare factory pieces. Accessing the cockpit is seamless, thanks to functional keyless entry. The driver benefits from a tilt adjustable steering column. To the left, a new BOSS headunit includes Bluetooth functionality to pump if your tunes. Below, an optional digital climate control system doles out cold air conditioning and piping hot heat. Power folding side mirrors, power locks, and power mirrors all work in typical Toyota fashion making daily use more enjoyable. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and a faux carbon bezel adds to the sporty aesthetic. The red and black sport cloth seats lack any major rips, stains or tears and are highly supportive. The rear seats can also fold to accommodate larger cargo. The door cards and headliner are in good nick as are the carpets. The original carpet mats, owner’s manual, and maintenance booklets are nice to have, and aside from some steering wheel wear it’s hard to knock the condition of the cabin.

Mechanical Overview
This chassis is communicative, handles well and would make for a wonderful daily driver. The 2ZZ-GE under the hood is a brilliant engine, fresh off an oil and filter service and breathing freely thanks to a new engine air filter. We took care of a water pump replacement on this chain-driven motor, installing a new thermostat while we were in there. One of our trained techs repaired a valve cover gasket leak too, so that the lubricant level stays on full. It sounds fantastic, thanks to a Blitz Nur Spec exhaust and the 1.8L is linked to a close ratio six speed. Gear changes are rewarding, and power is sent to the front wheels. It gets up and moves impressively well and the Yamaha designed engine sings at higher RPMs. The handling is sublime and the power steering is direct and benefits from a fresh fluid exchange. To pass state safety inspection, we also changed out a lower ball joint up front, and installed new front struts to help it ride like a cloud. The ABS brakes benefit from new pads and rotors all the way around, and stop this lightweight sport coupe on a dime. The OEM wheels are wrapped in brand new Falken rubber. They look stylish with the fresh paintwork, and should keep you tracking straight for tens of thousands of miles to come!
