Exterior Overview
The 3rd generation Legacy didn’t get enough credit here in the US, although the Outback went gangbusters. While our US market lauded the platform for its all-weather dominance, models like this JDM B4 “Rally Sport Kompressor” prove it was really shorted from it’s potential as a formidable sport sedan! This 1999 is a fine example, finished in Violet Blue Mica (89H) and set of by a few nifty OEM options and upgrades. Optional side skirt spats and rear strakes improve the aesthetic, and a factory rear spoiler caps off the iconic rear end on this BE5. Set off by one piece rain visors, optional Xenon headlamps, and privacy tint, this Legacy is a looker through and through, save for a couple minor paint imperfections throughout. Better yet, the 71k miles on the ticker are verified and documented, and the potent twin turbocharged powerplant is easy to service here in the US. Sporty, comfortable, and packed with utility, this awesome all-wheel-driver would make for a fantastic daily commuter, weekend backroad ripper, or Cars & Coffee standout. Don’t be fooled, this familiar face is still nothing short of a genuine Japanese Classic!

Mechanical Overview
The factory twin-turbocharged powerplant excels in smooth operation, ease of service, and a deceptively quick powerband to boot! This EJ206 is also fresh off a comprehensive recent service by our trained technicians and a thorough road test to ensure this RSK stays turn key ready. A fresh oil and filter service was performed and new valve cover gaskets were done on both ends to prevent any unwanted leaks of lubricant. We also threw in four new spark plugs on the 2.0TT to aid engine response. With the maintenance performed, this Legacy is a treat to drive and excels at anything from around-town sprints to longer highway journeys. The twin turbos provide a punchy yet predictable powerband and this EJ soars to redline without hesitation. A slick shifting automatic transmission throws the power down to all four wheels, and we resealed the rear differential cover and drained and filled the unit with new fluid. The factory Bilstein suspension delivers a responsive ride and handling worthy of the rally sport designation. The ABS brakes chomp down hard, and fresh all-season rubber on all four corners provides the all-season grip needed to deliver plenty of grip, stopping power, and comfort for the road ahead! With that being said, the fuel gauge is intermittent, and is about the only thing to complain about on this excellent chassis.
