Exterior Overview
The R34 Skyline is more than just a hero car. It’s comfortable, functional, and fun to drive too! For those who need a practical option, this 1999 GT fits the bill. It has four doors, an accessible automatic gearbox, and an RB20 engine under the hood that’s easy to own, maintain, and modify. Finished in Cloud White (QM1), this R34 is a looker too, set off by OEM optional side skirts, an optional rear lip, and OEM rainguards. RSR lowering springs snug up the gap between tire and fender, and help the chassis stay planted on more demanding drives as well. Save for a few light cosmetic imperfections, and a noted replacement of the rear trunk lid, the paint is in fine shape overall, and for a local cruise in, Cars & Coffee, or Nissan meet, this eye-catching Skyline should have no issues turning heads. Best of all, the 67k miles on the clock are verified, documented, and far above average compared to any 25 year old USDM Nissan. This special car looks great, is easy to drive, and fun to upgrade and maintain. Of course, we’d call this one a certified Japanese Classic!
Interior Overview
The cockpit condition is sublime and far above average for our typical sports sedan. Access is made more seamless with functional OEM keyless entry, which comes in handy when you have your hands full. For those who value safety, dual SRS airbags are standard equipment. The driver has an unencumbered view of the road ahead, and the low-lying dashboard lacks any cracking or fading. The OEM audio is present and functions, although the next owner may prefer the RB20’s soundtrack with the windows rolled down. If you want to keep them up and blast cold A/C instead, digital automatic climate control is easy to operate. Power mirrors andand power windows all work as they should, and make daily use more manageable. The seats are upholstered in a black and grey patterned cloth. They are in decent condition and lack any major rips or tears. The same material is mirrored in the door cards, which have avoided major abuse over the years. The headliner is clean, lacking major damage, and so are the carpets and soft-touch plastics. Overall, the cabin condition impresses. If we were to nitpick anything, however, the steering wheel shows a bit of wear, the passenger mirror no longer electronically folds, and there is some light staining on the driver’s seat base. On the plus side, we’ve retained the original carpet mats, and the owner’s manual, both of which are in great shape!
Mechanical Overview
Under the hood is a real stalwart engine, and the RB20DE is a dual-cam legend. It’s easy to acquire parts for, simple to service, and fresh off a comprehensive once-over by our trained technicians. To get the next American owner on track for future maintenance, we performed a timing belt and water pump service. A new thermostat was installed while we were in there, and we flushed in new coolant to complete the job. We also shored up some pesky oil leaks, by replacing the valve cover gaskets. A fresh oil and filter service was performed afterwards, and a new engine air filter was installed before it tackled its first road test. Six new spark plugs aid combustion, and with the maintenance performed this sedan zings up to highway speeds without issue. The engine feels healthy, and sends a symphony of sound through a Greddy exhaust. An automatic gearbox benefits from a new filter and fluid. It handles gear changes well, and power is sent straight to the rear wheels. The suspension is comfortable and slightly stiffer than stock, and new front tension arms help dial in the handling. We bolstered the power steering system with a full steering rack rebuild, nipping any unwanted leaks in the bud. New rack and pinion seals were installed, and new inner and outer tie rods, steering rack boots, rack bushings, and fresh fluid button up this comprehensive job. Lastly, we installed four new tires, and got it up in the air for a fresh alignment. With terrific levels of service, timeless style, and comfortable amenities, this R34 does it all, and does it well!

CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K.
