Exterior Overview
It’s easy to fall in love with an R34 GTR’s looks but not the price tag. Our 1999 GTT remedies this issue, as it features full GTR style aero, performance modifications, and a responsive rear-drive layout at a fraction of the cost! Finished in Sonic Silver (KR4) this stylish coupe boasts 133k miles from new and a full slate of upgrades for a true turn-key enthusiast Nissan experience. Sporting an FRP GTR style front bumper, hood, rear bumper, side skirts, and rear spoiler, the cosmetics are decidedly more aggressive over their base model counterpart, and OEM 34 GTR alloys and factory rainguards seal the deal aesthetically. Tein coilovers reduce any unwanted wheel gap, and save for some waves in the fiberglass, a noted quarter panel repair from Japan, and minor paint defects the exterior shows well overall. Enthusiasts would usually dump thousands into the aesthetics of a GTT achieving this look, but this 99 is ready to turn heads at Cars & Coffee, or even a weekend track day if you’re feeling froggy. With a durable chassis and a timeless design, it goes without saying that this Skyline is a true Japanese classic!

Interior Overview
The R34’s interior feels modern while still retaining a classic Skyline soul. Tons of power equipment is on hand making daily use enjoyable. Power windows, locks, and electric folding side mirrors all work like a charm, and a digital automatic climate control unit is easy to operate, doling out cold A/C and hot heat at a moment’s notice. Adjacent to the HVAC, Clarion audio is on hand and features Bluetooth functionality, if you want to drown out the turbo-six symphony from the aftermarket exhaust. The passenger benefits from a functional SRS airbag, and the driver’s wheel was swapped with a sleeker MOMO unit that feels nice in the palms of your hands. Also upgraded over stock is the driver’s seat, which was replaced with a Bride Lowmax that holds the pilot in snugly. The sport mesh upholstery on the remaining interior panels is also in good nick, showing no defects except a couple stains. The dash is free of unwanted cracks or distortion, the headliner is tidy, and the carpets have been protected by some snazzy factory mats. A factory triple gauge pod displays engine vitals on command, and a Defi boost gauge is installed to help the driver keep an eye on their PSIs. If we had to critique the cabin, there’s some minor peeling on the radio trim as typical of most 34’s. Aside from that, this is a classy, upmarket cockpit that’s a breeze to daily drive in the 21st century!

Mechanical Overview
The RB25DET under the bonnet is a real powerhouse, and the R34 was refreshed with NEO VVL technology for even more oomph! Ours is fresh off a recent service, where we did the legwork of performing a full timing belt and water pump service to replace some weary old components to get you on track for the next 10 years or 100,000 kilometers. To finish the tune-up, we installed new spark plugs across the board, and resealed the valve covers to get the most out of our fresh oil and filter service. A new thermostat was also chucked in to aid thermal management, and with the maintenance performed this zippy 6 pot makes quick work of getting up to highway speeds. This R34 leaves little to be desired in terms of auditory appeal, as a Blitz intake, front mount intercooler, and Trust catback exhaust work in tandem to soundtrack your drive. It’s also easy to putt around, thanks to a slick-shifting 5 speed gearbox, and an aftermarket LSD that helps you get down in the twisties. Tein coilovers keep you planted to the pavement and also reduce any unsightly wheel gap. New brake pads were installed in the rear to bolster the ABS system, and this sports coupe starts, steers, and stops well. The last line of defense between you and the tarmac, we’ve bolstered the wheels with brand new rubber, knee deep in tread and sure to last for years to come!
