Stock #628\1

Stock #6281The Toyota Aristo was a huge car for the brand, and was a worthy competitor to cars like the BMW 5 Series. In fact, it was better in many ways, and was designed with more modern styling and a slate of bulletproof reliable drivetrains that left little to be desired. This 1999 is a splendid little sedan and is offered with only 47k verified and documented miles on the ticker. For you math wizards out there, that's a fraction of the clicks most stateside examples have logged and this S160 Vertex Edition is fresh off a recent service, too. Standing tall in a classic Alpine Silver Metallic (199), this unmolested Aristo is set off by an OEM spoiler, a rare electric front parking pole, and a set of factory rainguards. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs the paint is in good nick, overall. Easy to service and a dream to drive, our Aristo is a seriously spacious and smooth-riding saloon car. Ready to put to task as a daily driver, or for use as a unique weekend cruiser this terrific Toyota is a Japanese Classic to its core. The cabin has been cared for overseas and is laden with electric amenities and some decent safety equipment. To enter the cabin the driver can utilize the keyless entry system. An electric tilt and telescoping column allows those behind the wheel to find the ideal driving position. Power folding mirrors, power locks, and power windows all work as advertised making daily use enjoyable. The electro-multivision screen operates properly and the touchscreen unit can be used for audio and climate functions. The A/C is cold and the heat blows hot, and the upgraded JBL audio supplements the inline six powerplant from under the hood. The blue and gray sport cloth seats are in above average shape and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. Both front occupants have powered seats that are equipped with side airbags. Dual SRS front airbags are standard as well. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and is in good nick and the carpets, headliner, and door cards have resisted major abuse over the years. Even the OEM carpet mats are included with the purchase and are in fine shape. Just like our US GS300s, this Aristo is powered by the refined and trustworthy 2JZ-GE. This VVT-i equipped  3.0L whirrs to life care of a new 12v battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service. As is our policy we replaced a fuel pump and fuel filter so that the American owner can hit the pavement on a road trip without blinking an eye. We also replaced the engine air filter so that power and fuel economy wouldn't suffer. One of our trained techs replaced the valve cover gasket with a new one, and the 2J runs right as rain. It's linked to an automatic gearbox that shifts like a charm. Power is sent to the rear wheels and the S160 gets up to highway speeds in a jiffy. For those who have a long interstate cruise planned rest assured this Aristo includes cruise control. The suspension is predictable and insulates the cabin against large and small road imperfections alike. The ABS brakes feel confident and the power steering is light and on point, and has been bolstered with a new power steering pump. The OEM alloys are wrapped in new all season rubber at each corner. They reduce road noise and most importantly will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.  *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
