1998 Toyota Aristo
The second generation Toyota Aristo may be the most modern vehicle we've sold on our lot to date. Comfortable, dependable, and backed by steadfast Toyota reliability, these Japanese market GS300's are chock full of potential, and our 99k verified mile 1998 is no different. Finished in the brand's trademark White Pearl (052), the exterior certainly stirs up conversation as factory rainguards, an optional rear spoiler, privacy tint, and lowering springs do a lot to jazz up the otherwise tame exterior. While the trunk dons upgraded V300 badging, we must note this is a standard S300 Aristo Vertex Edition. Refined on the highway and classy around town, this luxury sport sedan is a Japanese Classic worth writing home about!
Much like the exterior, the interior appears to have been well maintained and is chock full of the power amenities you'd expect from a luxury sport saloon. The seats, upholstered in black and grey sport cloth, assume a terry like finish, and have resisted nearly any major imperfections over the years to boot. Additionally in good nick, the headliner, door cards, and carpet beneath all show equally well. The dash is packed with a laundry list of features, and dual SRS airbags are at the ready on the front and sides in case of any on-road emergencies. The driver additionally benefits from a power tilt and telescoping steering column, and both front seats are power adjustable for your and your copilot. Positioned conveniently in the center stack, Toyota's revolutionary Electro MultiVision system integrates audio, climate, and navi controls in an easy to navigate touchscreen headunit that works like a charm. As expected, Cold A/C works like a charm in these scorching summer months and hot heat is at the ready should you need it for the fall and winter ahead. All four power windows are automatic, the power mirrors fold in and out electronically, and the power locks also work as advertised. Additionally, an expansive power moonroof slides fore and aft without hesitation. This Aristo sports a feature packed cabin with premium materials. Save for some minor wear to the touch points the only thing it's missing is a new pilot!
Fortunately for eager stateside enthusiasts, the drivetrain of this Aristo is nearly identical to our models sold in the US, so you never have to fret over parts availability or servicing! We've handled the initial check in on this sexy sled and the JZS160 is fresh off an oil and filter service to get you on track for future maintenance schedules. Aiding ignition is a freshly installed 12v battery which was also mounted up to properly test the alternator. We've even gone through the legwork of performing a full timing belt and water pump service to ensure you're taken care of for the next 10 years or 100,000 kilometers. To ensure this 2J stays well lubricated, we've addressed the front main seal, cam seals, and buttoned things up with new valve cover gaskets up top. Lastly, a new engine air filter keeps any pesky contaminants out of your 25 year old engine. With the maintenance performed she runs right as rain, as any proper Aristo should. As a highway commuter this one is buttery smooth and the automatic gearbox feels familiar and poised. We've even replaced both front lower ball joints and performed a fresh alignment up on our lift. The power steering is easy to navigate, and the ABS brakes bite down hard when called upon. We've even installed fresh rubber on all four corners to ensure you're not short on grip when needed most!
