Stock #6348The Aristo is one of the easiest JDM imports you can own and maintain in the states. It's direct compatibility with the Lexus GS300 chassis makes the ownership experience an easy stress-free affair, and frankly these Japanese examples are in much better shape than our tired USDM units! Our 1998 S160 Aristo is finished in Black Pearl (202) and is set off by some OEM rainguards and optional 16" polished alloys. With only 145k verified miles on the ticker, this Vertex Edition is a killer deal and a great daily driver for its lucky next owner. The black paint shows a few swirls and chips from daily use but overall Toyota really hit the nail on the head with the Aristo's build quality. Reliable, stylish, and built to last, this is one premier Japanese Classic!Trimmed in a plush two tone sport cloth, the interior on this Aristo is a real winner. Packed with a full slate of power amenities and some premium upgrades, this S160 is a fine candidate for daily driving and the upholstery has resisted the past 25 years on the road with nary a rip, stain, or tear. The dash is logically laid out, and the center stack houses a neat dual zone climate control system so both you and your passengers stay pampered with cold A/C and hot heat when needed. Adjacent to the HVAC, JBL premium audio is on hand, and doles out the tunes at above average quality. All four power windows are automatic, and power locks and electric folding side mirrors are there to assist daily use. Both driver and passenger benefit from power adjustable seating, and while the electric tilt and telescoping column is inoperable, we have it set in an unobtrusive position. The headliner is tight and tidy, and the carpets look well taken care of for their age. We've even retained two spare keys for a bit of added security! The 2JZ-GE under the bonnet has a diehard fanbase here in the states and this Aristo is fully serviced and ready to rip under new ownership! We chucked in a new 12v battery to aid ignition and went through the 3.0 thoroughly to make sure you'll stay covered for the road ahead. A number of pesky fluid leaks were addressed as typical of these 25 year old cars. Most importantly, we resealed the VVT-i solenoid, installed new valve cover gaskets, and topped everything off with a fresh oil and filter service. New spark plugs and a new engine air filter keep fuel burning clean, and with the maintenance performed this big body saloon is a real treat to drive overall. The automatic transmission selects gears predictably, and we installed a new transmission pan gasket, draining and filling the gearbox as we went. The drivetrain was shored up with new front caster arms, front left inner and outer tie rods, and a right rear upper ball joint to boot. The fresh Falken rubber is knee deep in tread, and we performed a fresh alignment to make the most of the reconditioning. Freshly serviced and ready to rock, this is a wonderfully clean Aristo!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
