Stock #5867Toyota seemed to have discovered the secret sauce for creating killer luxury saloons in the late 90's, and this 1998 Aristo would make for as good of a daily driver as any. With the majority of parts available shared with our USDM GS300s, these 2JZ-GE powered Aristos offers fantastic bang for your buck and feature some choice options never seen in our lowly Lexus offerings. Finished in a stunning Atlantic Blue Mica (8L4), the exterior on this Vertex edition certainly stands out, thanks to a tasteful rear spoiler, privacy tint, and 17" chrome factory alloys. While there's not much to gripe about condition-wise save for a few dings and paint chips here and there. This recently serviced beloved bug-eyed sport sedan boasts only 98k verified/documented miles and a clean bill of health from our trained technicians. Comfortable, stylish, and fiercely reliable, the second-generation Aristo is one of the hottest Japanese Classics on the market right now. With a used luxury sedan, stateside buyers usually have to prepare themselves for tired leather interiors and bland color palettes. This isn't the case for the Aristo, whose two-tone black and blue cloth interior jumps off the page and seats all passengers comfortably to boot! The upholstery shows no serious signs of age-related wear, and the remaining fabrics show well, from the headliner to the door cards. For safety-conscious occupants, dual front and side SRS airbags are at the ready, tucked away in the dash and power front seats respectively. Additionally, the driver benefits from a power tilt and telescoping steering column to dial in the ideal driving position. The center stack frames factory dual-zone climate control, and an OEM JBL audio system primed to play your favorite tapes or CD's throughout the cabin. Power windows, door locks, and power folding mirrors work in tandem to deliver a more accessible driving experience, and factory keyless entry works at the push of a button to protect your paintwork from unwanted key scratches. To sweeten the deal even more, the mindful previous owner included the factory carpet mats, sure to protect the upholstery underneath from any unwanted spills or stains.Under the bonnet, US enthusiasts will be pleased to see the 2JZ-GE is the same easily serviceable powerplant spec'd in stateside Toyota and Lexus offerings. A reliable, fuel-efficient mill, this one is fresh off a recent tune up in-house and primed and ready for the road ahead. The motor fires up swiftly with the twist of a key, thanks to a new 12v battery, which was also installed to properly test the alternator. To set the next owner up for the road ahead, we did the timing belt, serpentine belts, and water pump service, replacing the cam seals, valve cover gasket, and engine air filter while we were in there. A fresh oil and filter service keeps this one well-lubricated until its next maintenance cycle, and she runs and drives butter smooth! Compared to its bigger, twin turbocharged brother, the GE has plenty of get up and go around town, and acceleration on the highway is substantial as well. The automatic box shifts smoothly up and down the gears without hesitation, as power is hammered down to the rear wheels. The Tein lowering springs are still plenty comfortable and compliant, gobbling up road imperfections large and small, and the ABS brakes offer the stopping power to come to an immediate halt if needed. The front caster arms were replaced while it was up on the lift as well! The power steering is light and direct, as you'd expect from a luxury sedan, and best of all, we've mounted and balanced new Falken tires at all four corners to get this Aristo ready for tens of thousands of reliable miles ahead!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
