Stock #6224A timeless icon and the poster child for late 90's tuner car nostalgia, Nissan's R34 Skyline is hotter than ever now that models like this 1998 25GT are legal for import. With a fresh coat of Midnight Purple (LP2) and loads of good cosmetic upgrades, ours is highly desirable and the 54k verified miles on the clock certainly don't hurt. A one-off front lip, side skirts, and rear lip accentuate this sedan's bodylines and 18" Weds Kranze ERM wheels round off the aesthetic. OEM xenon headlamps are pricey factory equipment and fortunately came standard on this terrific transporter. Save for some tiny blemishes, and a prior noted replacement of the front bumper, the exterior shows well overall and should be the perfect head turner for your local Nissan meet or Cars & Coffee. A recognizable chassis in film, video games, and on your bedroom wall, this R34 is a textbook Japanese Classic!Compared to the R33 before it, the R34 received a substantial interior redesign and the quality, fit and finish, and amenities were improved tenfold! The seats are finished in a tidy patterned cloth and ours have resisted the past 25 years with nary a rip or stain. The driver's bolster is worn a tad, but the upholstery and the matching fabric in the door cards is in good shape too. The dash is equipped with standard dual SRS airbags and the driver gains access to a tilt adjustable steering column and some shift buttons on the steering wheel to command individual gear changes. Optimal comfort can be achieved through a digital automatic climate control system, and cold A/C and hot heat are on standby for those in seasonal climates. About the only thing wrong with this specific interior is the OEM audio, which has lost its volume adjustment over the years. On the plus side, all four power windows can unfurl to let in some of that sweet exhaust note. Additional power equipment includes power locks, and the side mirrors can electronically fold for squeezing into tight parking garages. The headliner is taut against the roof and the carpets beneath are free of any major stains or tears. Cared for overseas, we feel the American buyer will be impressed with the interior!Under the bonnet, the RB25DE NEO has plenty of get up and go for daily use and stacks up surprisingly well to its turbocharged brethren. Ours is fresh off a recent service in house and springs to life care of a new 12v battery. New valve cover gaskets seal everything up top and a fresh oil and filter service provides the lubrication needed to get you up to speed for the next 5,000 kilometers. A new air filter was installed and with the maintenance performed this RB zips up to highway speeds without hesitation. An automatic gearbox throws the power rearward and is nicely geared for highway cruises. The stock suspension feels composed over larger road imperfections although a bit noisy at low speeds, and the standard ABS brakes clamp down hard when called upon thanks to new pads and rotors installed up front. Modification-friendly and no strangers to performance, these torquey naturally aspirated 2.5's can be a real blast to drive and this one works great under the hood of this R34. To put the power down reliably, we wrapped the Kranzes in fresh all-season rubber, sure to deliver plenty of grip for tens of thousands of miles to come!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
