Exterior Overview
R34 sedans are fast, roomy, and balanced. For those with kids or an active lifestyle, this chassis delivers high marks on fun and practicality. Finished in a menacing Black Pearl (GV2), the body is set off by OEM spoiler, OEM rainguards, and a set of sleek OEM silver alloys. Aside from a few light to moderate dings, chips, and scuffs the paint is in fine shape and this saloon is fresh off a comprehensive service in the shop. Offered with an incredibly low 42k verified and documented miles on the clock, this manual, rear-drive, turbocharged model is about as good as it gets. Reliable, rewarding to drive, and highly collectible, this Japanese Classic does everything well, and looks good doing it!
Interior Overview
The cabin is larger than the R33 and R32 that preceded it. It also includes a number of standard safety features, such as dual front SRS airbags. The dashboard is in good shape and lacks any major distortion or cracking. A Kenwood audio upgrade supplies some tunes to compliment the RB25 under the bonnet, and the unit looks modern, too. Directly above is a digital climate system that pumps in heat and cold A/C on demand. The driver gains an adjustable steering column and power-folding mirrors, electric locks, and power windows all work like a charm, making daily driving even more pleasurable. Even the keyless entry system operates reliably! The seats are trimmed in a light gray and charcoal-colored cloth. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and complement the interior’s color palette. The carpets, door cards, and headliner have resisted major abuse over the years and even the owner’s manuals are included with the purchase of the Skyline.
Mechanical Overview
The R34 feels like a modern sports sedan and the stats seem to back that up! Featuring near 50/50 weight distribution, this Skyline goes fast in the twisties, as well as the straights. The RB25DET NEO engine under the hood whirrs to life care of a new 12v battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It runs smoothly and revs hard to redline thanks to a new set of spark plugs, a new engine air filter, and a new fuel filter. One of our trained techs took care of a few pesky oil leaks by installing a new front main seal and replacing the valve cover gaskets. Best of all, we performed the most expensive preventative maintenance service on the RB, saving the new owner thousands of dollars. A New timing belt, water pump, and thermostat were installed, so that the new American buyer can hit the road for a long trip and feel stress-free doing it! Of course, we flushed the coolant and a brand new radiator was installed to replace the tired old unit. The gearbox is sublime, and rowing up and down the tree always puts a smile on your face. The five-speed lacks any hitches or grinds and sends power to the rear wheels. It gets up to highway speeds quickly and this Nissan can roast the tires from stoplight to stoplight if you wish. The ABS brakes do a killer job of slowing this GTT down and the suspension is predictable and can withstand the abuse from your daily drives. To keep the nearly new all season tires lasting as long as possible, we performed an alignment. The power steering is light, yet direct, and this R34 goes right where you point it.
