Stock #6006This 1998 Caravan Elgrand is a fun and frugal van that proves Nissan was capable of making a transporter far more exhilarating than the Quest. With a stout selective 4WD drivetrain, versatile 8 person seating, and enough features and amenities to cater to daily use in the 21st century, this van would be a smart buy for anyone looking to maximize the amount of hauler for their dollar. Better yet, this Elgrand boasts just 63k documented miles on the odometer and is fresh off a comprehensive recent service by our trained technicians! Finished in a stately Icelandic White Pearl/Silver (4T8), the exterior stands out from most every plebeian minivan on our stateside shores and is offset by OEM rainguards, a Terzo rear ladder, and prominent factory fog lights. Feature-rich, comfortable, and economical to operate, this Caravan is cooler than the other side of the pillow! The interior excels on many fronts, but versatility has to be number one facet. The unique 8 seat arrangement grants each passenger their own individual seat adjustability, and rear occupants gain access to an independent set of climate controls to dial in their half of the cabin accordingly. For those up front, a digital automatic climate control unit is simple to operate and still spews out cold A/C and hot heat as expected. Adjacent to the HVAC controls, an upgraded Mitsubishi audio system is on hand and is fully functional. The dash and corresponding trim is free of any unwanted cracking, and dual SRS airbags are present up front in the event of any on road emergencies. The seats are trimmed in a durable grey cloth and show well with the exception of a couple burn holes on the driver's seat bottom. Both power windows up front are fully operational, as are the power locks and power folding mirrors. For fans of natural ventilation, the rear glass can pop outward, and a massive panoramic moonroof can either tilt or unfurl to let in some fresh air. If some glamping is in the cards, the rear seats can swivel and fold flat to form a makeshift sleeping surface, and curtains can be deployed all the way around for some extra privacy. Overall there's little to complain about with the exterior condition. The headliner shows a few stains and the dash has distorted a bit atop the passenger side, but for a full service cockpit, it's hard to argue with the value of this unit. We've even retained the original owner's manual, and factory carpeted floor mats protect your upholstery underneath from unwanted spills and stains!Under the hood is a familiar drivetrain that served Stateside duty in our USDM Xterra's and Frontiers. The 3.3L V6 is easy to service, surprisingly peppy, and great on petrol to boot. Recently serviced by our trained technicians, we've gone through a laundry list of preventative maintenance on this VG33 and with a new timing belt and water pump installed, you'll be covered for the next 10 years or 100,000 km's! Better yet, a new rear main seal was installed and a fresh oil/filter service performed to ensure you won't lose a drop of unwanted lubricant. After dropping in a new engine air filter, this one shoots right up to highway speeds without hesitation and the automatic transmission is geared nicely should you choose to take this Caravan on a road trip. If any off-road excursions or campsite travels present themselves, selective 4WD is on hand with a center locking differential if you really find yourself mired in the muck. The suspension is pillow-soft, and this full size van drives more like a compact crossover in our opinion. The all-season rubber is brand spanking new and we even performed a full four wheel alignment here to keep you on track for the road ahead!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
