New for the 1998 model year. Toyota's 100 series Land Cruiser flipped the script on what a full-sized SUV could be capable of both on and off the beaten path. More specifically, huge upgrades were made in refinement and overall comfort, and the J100 was the first luxury cruiser as we know it. This VX limited is well optioned, handsomely styled, and would make for a fantastic daily hauler, campground cruiser, or weekend road trip warrior. Touting just 137k verified and documented miles, it's clear this truck was well cared for in a prior life and the White Mica Pearl (057) paintwork is in above-average shape overall. Offset by OEM rainguards, a sleek OEM optional rear spoiler, LED tail lamps, and refinished factory alloys, this comfortable cruiser looks the part and blends in nicely with more modern trucks and SUVs on our stateside roads! Composed, comfortable, and built to withstand the test of time, the J100 is the essence of a true Japanese Classic.

The interior is comfortable, well-appointed, and outfitted with enough amenities and premium materials to please both pilots and passengers alike. The cabin seats five, and is upholstered in a supple tan cloth, which has withstood almost any major wear and tear over the years! The remaining cabin materials are also in good nick, from the headliner to the carpeting beneath, and the vinyl dash is free of any unwanted UV distortion or miscellaneous damage. For safety-conscious occupants, dual SRS airbags are present up front, should you need them. Adjacent to the nonfunctional head unit, the automatic climate control spews out cold A/C and hot heat at a moment's notice, and your rearmost passengers have their own dedicated command of the rear climate zone. Power amenities are available in droves, and the power windows, locks, and electric folding mirrors work like a charm. A power moonroof can also slide fore and aft to open a view of the heavens above. Additional power equipment includes factory height adjustable suspension with adjustable integrated damping. For those prioritizing cargo space or looking to overland, the middle bench can tumble forward to create a wide berth in the rear. Overall, the cabin is well cared for and in impressive shape. and it even incudes the owners manuals and maintenance booklets, too!

Under the hood, stateside enthusiasts will be pleased to see a stark similarity to the 2UZ-FE offered in our early Cruisers and Tundra models. Ours has undergone a comprehensive check-in by our trained technicians and is ready to tackle some serious pavement here in the US. It cranks over with haste, care of a new 12v battery, and new valve cover gaskets ensure you won't sweat a drop from the fresh oil and filter service on this 4.7L. For a bit of a preventative tune-up, we've gone ahead and replaced the fuel filter and all spark plugs so this V8 can rocket right up to highway speeds without hesitation. A smooth-shifting automatic gearbox transfers power to a full-time 4WD system, and a factory center locker can be deployed alongside 4WD low if you become entrenched in some less-than-ideal terrain. The OEM height adjustable suspension works like a charm and is useful for getting some additional ground clearance on the fly while maintaining the comfort you'd come to expect from a luxury cruiser. The power steering is featherweight and easy to maneuver, and we replaced all inner and outer tie rods to keep the drivetrain compliant. The brakes reel this behemoth in when needed, and the four new Yokohama tires pay dividends on and off loose surfaces. We even performed a fresh alignment here so you can get the most out of your new rubber on this terrific truck!
