1998 Honda RD-1 CR-V

Stock #6303

*****This CR-V has extensive floor pan corrosion and prior frame repairs, it will not pass VA State Safety Inspection and will need to be trailered off of our lot.

The CR-V started it all for Honda, and now crossovers and SUVs dominate their portfolio. This 1998 is a true runner, with its legendary B20 powering a full-time all-wheel drive system. Set off by a rare OEM spare tire cover, OEM raingaurds, and some silver five-spoke alloys, this Tafetta White  (NH-578) example is quite the looker. Aside from some dings, chips, and scuffs the body is in good shape, but sadly the chassis shows too much corrosion to pass Virginia's state safety inspection. Still, the driveline is fresh as a daisy, having logged a scant 26k verified and document miles. Perfect as a donor, backyard beater, or Florida flip, this Japanese Classic could be the ticket.

The cabin is in good nick and was clearly cared for overseas. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and the front occupants benefit from dual SRS airbags and a collapsible center tray table with integrated cupholders. To find the ideal driving position the pilot receives a tilt-adjustable steering column and functional power folding mirrors, electric locks, and power windows all function making daily use more enjoyable. Keyless entry is also working, and you can pop the rear hatch with it! The center stack includes the control for the automatic climate system which doles out heat and A/C on demand. The OEM audio is easy to operate and belts out the tunes. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are in good nick and even the carpet mats are on hand. The gray upholstery is soft to the touch and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The cargo area includes 12v charging and an integrated picnic table that can be removed too!

The engine is nearly bulletproof and the low miles make it highly desirable. The B20 is fresh off an oil and filter service and churns over with the twist of a key. Power is sent through a stout automatic gearbox and fed to through an all wheel drive system. This crossover accelerates nicely and is capable of sustaining highway speeds. Its also peppy about town. The suspension is able to handle the rigors of daily use and abuse as well. The ABS brakes feel confident and the power steering is light, yet connected. This low mileage drivetrain needs minor reconditioning before reporting for daily duty, and when the chassis is freshened up this CR-V will be quite the transporter!
