The van segment is in the middle of a resurgence, and this 1998 Odyssey is the pinnacle of coolness. Featuring seductive WALD aero and a reliable Honda driveline, this stylish, practical, and efficient hauler is a certified Japanese Classic. Accentuated further by a set of Arrow Enterprises GG alloys, privacy tint, and clear tail lamps, this roomy and safe ride is finished in a beautiful Taffeta White (NH-578), the paint is in good shape aside from a few light dings, paint chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Fresh off a recent service, this RA3 is offered with a mere 79k verified and documented miles. For such an affordable and trusty transporter, this Honda gets more looks than imports priced three times as high. As a kid hauler, daily driver, or weekend cruiser, it truly doesn't get any better.

The cabin is in above-average shape and includes loads of electric equipment and safety items. The view of the road ahead is unencumbered and the sloped nose provides premium outward visibility to whoever is behind the wheel. Both driver and passenger have dual SRS front airbags on hand for some added peace of mind. The centrally located digital automatic dual-zone clime controls are within arm's reach and a Clarion audio upgrade works as advertised, making daily use more enjoyable with Bluetooth and USB functionality for your tunes! The A/C does work, as does the heat, and the rear occupants will welcome their own separate climate controls. The driver also benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering wheel and power windows, door locks, and electric side mirrors. These all work in typical Honda fashion, save for the power folding function of the side mirrors. The cognac-colored textured cloth upholstery is in above-average shape. The material is soft to the touch and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears, although the driver's bolster has lost some rigidity over the years. The carpets are in good nick as are the door cards and the headliner has escaped major abuse over the last quarter century. It even has the owner's manuals and OEM optional carpet mats on hand, which are to be included in the sale!

Under the hood, the peppy and frugal F-series four-cylinder provides all the get-up-and-go necessary to hop on the freeway or cruiser around town. Fresh off an oil and filter service, the F23A fires up promptly care of a new 12v battery. A new fuel filter works to keep unwanted contaminants out of the combustion chamber, and a new valve cover gasket ensures it stays topped up on lubricant. The rear main seal was even replaced while it was up on the lift, and a new distributor o-ring is the last line of defense against any unwanted fluid seeps. We didn't stop there, as we wanted to refresh the cooling system a bit. A new thermostat and coolant temp sensor allow the engine to maintain the proper thermal efficiency and will give the new owner some peace of mind if they may be planning a road trip out of the gate. The VTEC-equipped mill is linked to a smooth-shifting automatic gearbox. The Odyssey has the grunt to get up to highway merging speeds without breaking a sweat and it's peppy around town thanks to its light curb weight. The suspension cushions well against large and small potholes alike and the steering system is light but on point. New inner and outer tie rods were replaced while it was up on the lift and the worn front sway bar end links were replaced with new ones. To complete our reconditioning process, new rubber was mounted and balanced at all four corners. The new Kumho rubber not only quiets down the ride, but most importantly will provide tens of thousands of miles of year-round grip to come.
