1998 Granvia V6
The ability to traverse rough terrain in a vehicle is usually reserved for a truck or SUV. Typically that means a rough ride or limiting the amount of passengers onboard, but we'll have you know these are unnecessary sacrifices. This 1998 Granvia is a safe, spacious, and capable hauler. Finished in Alphard White over Yellow Silver Metallic (2CH) this seven-seater is set off by an OEM front lip, factory rainguards, an OEM rear spoiler, subtle rear privacy tint, and a set of gold 15" alloys. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs this hauler is in good nick and is fresh off a recent service. Touting a mere 65k verified and documented miles, this turn-key Granvia is about as reliable as it gets, thanks to its 3.4L 5VZ V6 that powers our Stateside 4Runners. Featuring a loaded cabin with tons of incredible options and features, this Toyota would be a great kid hauler, year-round daily driver, or weekend escape machine. Simply put, it's hard to get more value out of a Japanese Classic!
Inside the cabin, you'll be welcomed by premium materials, tons of convenience features, and oodles of storage space. The head, leg, and shoulder room are abundant and everyone has space to move about. Designed for added front collision protection, the Granvia features standard dual front SRS airbags. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and includes a simple center stack with a trick OEM TV/Radio. It works like a charm, as does the dual-zone digital climate control located above. Rear occupants have their own dedicated climate controls, too, and if the team prefers more natural ventilation, dual moonroofs can be opened. The rear unit is eclectic, and massive. When retracted fully, can deliver a splendid view of the heavens above. Natural light permeates the cabin making it feel even bigger somehow. Cupholders, a large glovebox and factory linen curtains all make daily use more enjoyable, as do the power folding mirrors, electric locks, and power windows. The other benefit of the semi-bonneted layout is a flat loading floor and more cargo room. The interior offers some flexible seating arrangements. The middle row can swivel and the rear row can slide and lay flat. There is also a sliding center console that butterflies out into a serving table. The side door even powers open and closes, and this thing is a 1998! It should also be noted that if a road trip is planned the first, second and third rows can be combined into a sleeping surface, too. The soft cloth upholstery lacks any major rips, stains, or tears and was cared for in a prior life. The same can be said for the door cards and carpets which have resisted major abuse and there aren't any squeaks or rattles to complain about either! The owners manuals and maintenance booklets are included in the purchase, too.
Under the hood, this van is powered by the nearly bulletproof 5VZ-FE. The quad-cam engine is fresh off an oil and filter service and turns over promptly care of a new 12v battery. It runs flawlessly and a new fuel filter was replaced for good measure. One of our trained techs has replaced the valve cover gaskets, and the 3.4L now runs right as rain. Linked to a smooth shifting automatic, power is fed through a Full-Time 4WD system. Acceleration is impressive and the hearty midrange makes passing power is never a problem when behind the wheel. The suspension is predictable and insulates the cabin nicely against road imperfections. The long wheelbase is ideal for interstate use and high-speed cruising is a stress-free affair. The ABS brakes feel confident and slow down this transporter without breaking a sweat. The power steering is light and on point and the wheels are all wrapped in new TOYO open country tires that will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and will provide all the year-round grip you'll need!
