Refusing to compromise on both form and function, aftermarket tuning houses worked tirelessly to make vans like this 1998 supercharged Estima stand out from the pack. Wearing full FRP aero, as well as a KENSTYLE grille, tasteful factory rear spoiler, OEM rain guards, and slick molded roof rails, this White Pearl Mica (042) Estima is set up to turn heads just about everywhere it goes while providing the same reliability you'd expect out of a 66k mile Toyota Van. Rolling on 18" Weds Kranze Cerberus II wheels, the period correct look fits the bill, and there isn't much to gripe with the exterior other than some expected paint chips and dings. A head-turning RWD hauler with all the space and options needed for modern day-to-day use, this is one esteemed Japanese Classic!You'd expect Toyota to have a good grasp on how to design a van's interior, and this Estima certainly doesn't disappoint. Better yet, if you're looking to haul the family in style this van delivers in terms of comfort, amenities, and then some! The seats are upholstered in a durable grey cloth. Not only do they coddle you and your passengers nicely, but they've resisted any serious wear and tear over the years, and are in great cosmetic shape. The dash is no different. While it lacks any major cracks or UV distortion, it also houses dual SRS airbags and curves out far into the cabin so you and your copilot can take control of the climate control or adjacent OEM audio system. As you'd expect, the Air Conditioning blows ice cold, and the sound quality is above average from the factory. To assist in daily use, both power windows are fully functional, as are the power mirrors although the power fold function has given up the ghost. Even a large panoramic moonroof can retract to give your middlemost passengers a view of the heavens above. To aid comfort after a long road trip, the middle and rear rows can also fold fully flat to form a sort of pseudo sleeping surface, and includes rear A/C and heat that works well on its own so your passengers can take full command of their cabin's temperature. The headliner and carpet show well outside of a few minor stains here and there, and most importantly includes the factory carpeted floor mats to protect your investment in this incredible van!For the Estima's drivetrain, Toyota applied their experience with the mid-engine layout and snugged the 2TZ-FZE engine against the chassis at a 75-degree angle to maximize on both interior and exterior dimensions. This van even sports a factory supercharger which comes in handy when some extra get up and go is required. Our trained technicians have given this 2.4 a comprehensive service and this four-banger starts right up care of a new USDM 12v battery. A new distributor o-ring and valve cover gasket keep the oil from the fresh oil and filter service inside the engine, and a fresh engine air filter and fuel filter were installed as a bit of a preemptive tune-up. The supercharger aids in down low horsepower and torque, and an automatic gearbox throws the power to the rear wheels with ease. The suspension benefits from a new left front outer tie rod and a fresh alignment allows this Toyota to track straight as an arrow. New brake pads on the front assist the ABS, and this lovely egg-shaped Estima can stop on a dime if need be. Best of all, the wheels were wrapped in brand new Falken rubber, sure to deliver plenty of grip and keep the road noise down wherever you traverse this unique hauler!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
