The UCF21 is one of Toyota's most enduring designs of all time. Sturdy, reliable, and packed full of creature comforts, these Celsiors are an astounding value for the money. Our 1997 is a special sedan and offered with only 17k verified and documented miles, and it is fresh off a recent service. Finished in Diamond White (051) the body and paint are in good shape aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal wear and tear. Prior repairs in Japan include a replaced driver's front fender. Incredibly, it drives even better than it looks, and this Type C includes a few factory upgrades to boot! Unlike US versions, which sell at twice the price, this spacious and safe Japanese Classic is priced to move, and won't last long. For those looking for a unique daily driver, weekend cruiser, or unmolested platform for a VIP build, it is clear that this turn-key UCF would be an ideal choice.

The cabin is in above average condition overall and was cared for in a prior life. It has features that are rare, such as the OEM touch screen TV/Radio and electric parking pole. These two items are commonly broken but work in our tremendous example. The dash is in good nick and lacks any cracking or distortion. It houses two dual-front SRS airbags for some added reassurance when behind the wheel. New for 97 this Celsior also has dual side SRS airbags too. The dual-done digital A/C blasts as cold as Siberia, and the system itself is easy to operate and intuitive. Power equipment is all around, from the electric seat belt adjusters to the auto-dimming rear view mirror and an electric steering column. These all work as advertised as do the power-folding mirrors, electric door locks, and power windows. All these niceties make daily use enjoyable. For commuters, this saloon features OEM cruise control for long jaunts on the freeway. The seats are in above average shape too, and lack any major rips, stains, or tears. The tan cloth is soft to the touch and comfy over long journeys. It should be noted that both power front seats are fully functional. The rear upholstery has been equally well cared for as have the door cards, carpet, and headliner. Even the OEM carpet mats are still on hand and are included in the sale of the vehicle.

The mechanicals are improved over the UCF10/11, but at the heart of the Celsior is a lighter, more powerful version of the 1UZ-FE. Fresh off an oil and filter service the 4.0L springs to life care of a new 12v battery. You can hardly hear the low vibration V8 from within the cabin and power is fed through a buttery smooth automatic gearbox to the rear wheels. It accelerates well for a heavy five-seater and sustained highway trips are as serene as a modern German luxury barge. The brakes are confident and the power steering is feather-light. The factory adjustable air suspension coddles occupants from any road imperfections that stand in their way. Lastly, we mounted and balanced four new tires. The all-season Falkens will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and provide all the year-round grip you will need!
