#5961This pretty Cavalry Blue (8W2) Surf isn't just a looker, it's a performer! Set off by some aggressive refinished 16" aftermarket wheels, big 31" Falken tires, and some rear privacy tint, it's easy to be distracted by the modern aesthetic, but we'd like to remind you that this Ute's beauty runs more than skin deep. Powered by a legendary turbodiesel engine and underpinned by a rugged 4WD system, this recently serviced rig would make for an immediate solution to your overlanding woes. Boasting only 79k verified and documented miles, this Toyota is in wonderful nick aside from some light dings and chips associated with normal use. Cool. collectible and capable, this SSR-X model could be daily driven if desired. Handsome, reliable, and inexpensive to own and service, this sporty Surf is a true Japanese Classic. The interior is in above-average shape and was cared for overseas in Japan. The driver enjoys a commanding view of traffic, thanks to the tall ride height of this Surf. The dashboard lacks any cracking, fading, or delamination and houses dual SRS front airbags as standard equipment. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering wheel and adjustable lumbar support for those who wish to find the ideal driving position. Power windows and door locks make daily use more enjoyable as does the automatic climate control. If you prefer more natural ventilation the power windows and rear glass can be unfurled for a full-on breeze. If not the A/C blows cold and the heat works, too. For those who wish to commute, the OEM audio works like a charm and the seats are upholstered in a Moon Mist colored cloth. Eagle-eyed enthusiasts will note the tweed material used to adorn the bolsters which was added for this model year. The material itself lacks any major rips, stains, or tears and is durable, as well. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are all in good shape overall and the cargo area lacks any major blemishes, too. Mounted fairly far back in the engine bay is the legendary 1KZ-TE powerplant. Fresh off a recent oil and filter service, the 3.0L springs to life care of two new 12v batteries. A new fuel filter and serpentine belts were installed while it was up on the lift and the four-banger runs seamlessly. The 2982cc mill is linked to a robust automatic transmission. It makes good use of the 1Ks broad torque curve, and the driver can select between 2WD and 4WD depending on their preference. The selective transfercase also has a setting for low range and a center locker should an off-road excursion is in the cards. The ride has been upgraded care of two new rear shocks. Predictable and connected for a truck the Surfs can handle the rigors of daily use pounding over the pothole-filled pavement. The power steering is light and on point and the ABS brakes clamp down hard when asked to. The alloy wheels are all wrapped in new 31" Falken rubber. Mounted, balanced, and freshly aligned this Hilux is turn key and ready to rock. *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
