Stock #6197With a sterling reputation around the globe for its off-road tenacity and build quality, the Mitsubishi Pajero is one of the best values out of Japan. This 1997 features a punchy direct-injected powerplant, SuperSelect 4WD, and an upgraded and spacious cabin. Finished in a classic Navajo Green over Sudan Beige (F76/S74) the angular styling is accentuated with OEM rainguards, BERG alloy wheels, an optional spare tire cover and some subtle privacy tint. Aside from a few light dings, chips, and scuffs the paint is in good nick and this rig is fresh off a recent service. Turn key and ready to rock, this 99k verified and documented mile example would make for a killer trail cruiser, fun family hauler, or practical year-round ride. Easy to service, safe, and stubbornly capable, this Japanese Classic is as good as any SUV we sell! The cabin is as classy as any Pajero we have had in recent memory. Not only does it have the desirable multimedia screen but it also includes leather upholstery. The tan cowhides are in good shape overall, aside from the normal age-induced wear. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering wheel and both front occupants gain SRS airbags, for some added peace of mind. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and wood grain accents are found on the gear lever and transfer case stick. Power windows, door locks, and mirrors all function, making daily use enjoyable. The digital automatic climate control allows cold A/C and piping hot heat and if you prefer more natural ventilation, a massive panoramic sunroof can be unfurled. The headliner, door cards, and carpets are in fair shape and have withstood the past 25 years without sustaining major abuse. The body on frame platform is robust and able to withstand loads of abuse. New for 1997, the gasoline engine was improved with direct injection for a healthy dose of horsepower. Thanks to a new 12v battery, the 6G74 whirrs to life and it's fresh off an oil and filter service. New valve cover gaskets were installed by one of our trained techs so that the engine has a fresh start here Stateside. The V6 sounds throaty thanks to a free-flowing HKS exhaust, which looks killer, too. Power is fed through a stout automatic gearbox and can be funned to all four wheels or just the rears. When additional traction is required, a low-range and center locker can be deployed. Acceleration is impressive for an SUV and we have refreshed the driveline with new front seal for the differential. The suspension was also smoothed out with new shocks at all four corners. The ABS brakes feel assured and the power steering is on point. We mounted and balanced four new Falken tires to handle grip and they should last for tens of thousands of miles to come thanks to a fresh alignment!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
