Stock #4739
Stock #4739***This Safari runs and drives but the engine has overheated and is in need of a new headgasket. It is in good structural condition, however you must bring a trailer to pick up this vehicle or have it shippedKnown globally for off-road tenacity, stout build quality, and unhampered 4WD performance, Nissan's Y60 platform is a true one of a kind SUV. Our 1994 needs a new headgasket to get back on the road, but this tenacious two door is the perfect starting point for your next great 4x4 project! Backed by a turbodiesel 4.2l engine, this has a desirable drivetrain to boot, and is finished in Beige Pearl/Turquoise Metallic (6P8). An OEM rear spoiler, INNO crossbars, OEM side steps and factory rainguards complete the aesthetic and save for some visible paint defects and clearcoat failure, the truck is in fine shape for its age, with no serious structural corrosion to be found! Better yet, the 143k miles on the ticker are verified, so this Safari will be packed with value when fixed up! Collectible, stylish, and ready for a good time, you'll love wrenching on this Japanese Classic! The interior stands out, as it's resisted the past three decades on the road while remaining in great shape overall. The seats are upholstered in a durable grey cloth. Matching the grey vinyl dash cover, the materials show well save for a nick atop the dash and some defects on the door cards. The center stack frames an automatic climate control unit and an upgraded Kenwood audio system. The sound quality is decent, however we must note the blower motor's given up the ghost for the HVAC. Power windows are available, although currently inoperable, but the power locks and mirrors work like a charm. A manual moonroof is even on hand to funnel in some natural ventilation when needed. The rear seat is spacious enough to stuff in additional passengers, and it can fold forward to create a larger cargo hold in the trunk. This interior should need very little to tackle daily use, and we think the next owner will agree! In need of a new headgasket and a full service, the RD28 turbodiesel under the bonnet cranks right over and idles well regardless. This Safari is backed by a 4 speed automatic and selective 4WD, and the 2.8 is a popular choice among Safari enthusiasts worldwide. For off road or low traction scenarios, 4WD is at the ready with low gearing for when the going gets rough. The suspension is up to spec, as are the brakes, but we'd highly recommend a full inspection of the drivetrain before taking this ute out on its maiden voyage. The steel wheels are wrapped in all-season tires that are low in tread and will require replacement soon. Still, the truck has great bones, is in great structural condition, and will have no issues passing state safety inspection once she's up and running!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first. CARB certifications will have to be performed within the state. Depending on the vehicle and any existing modifications will affect the pricing. Typically CARB compliance will range between 5-10K. Additional information can be found on the California Air Resources Board website.
