Exterior Overview
For many the Nissan Skyline is the most desirable JDM vehicle on their radar. Sadly many models have become expensive, but this 1997 one-owner vehicle just might hit the sweet spot in the market. Powered by a smooth inline six and spec’d with a factory manual gearbox, this coupe is balanced, refined, and attractive to look at. Finished in a lovely Sonic Silver, the paint is in good shape aside from some light dings, chips, and scuffs associated with normal use. Set off by an OEM wing and series two front bumper, this classy R33 looks as if it just left the factory. Best off all, this GTS25 model is offered with a scant 16k verified and documented miles on the clock. Perfect as a weekend cruiser, daily driver, or autocross all-star, this Japanese Classic does everything well. Clean, collectible, and cooler than the other side of the pillow, this Type S is turn key and ready to roll!

Interior Overview
The cabin is in good shape, and is way more spacious than the R32 that preceded it. Believe it or not, we have have clients who are 7′ tall drive away in these 33s. The dashboard is in good nick and lacks any cracking or fading. It houses dual SRS airbags for some added peace of mind, and the driver gains an adjustable steering column to find the ideal driving position. Power windows, locks and mirrors are functional and make daily use more enjoyable. The same can be said for the digital auto climate control system that supplies the cabin with cold A/C and piping hot heat. The seats are in good shape and the blue upholstery lacks any major rips, stains or tears. The carpets, door cards and headliner have resisted major wear and tear over the years as well. The OEM audio works like a charm, supplying tunes to the cabin to supplement your commute. Aside from some light fading on the rear bench seat back and the power folding function of the mirrors not working, its hard to critique the cabin. It was obviously cared for in a prior life by this Nissan’s only owner, and it shows!

Mechanical Overview
The RB engine is one of Nissan’s most well-known designs, and the 2.5L that powers this coupe is fresh off oil and filter service. The RB25DE churns to life care of a new 12v battery, and idles smoothly, with hardly a vibration. So that fuel is properly atomized a new intake air filter and spark plugs were installed, and we also replaced the soiled fuel filter with a new unit. One of our trained techs refreshed the inline-six with new valve cover gaskets and to keep up with thermal management, a new radiator was installed, too. Power is fed through a five-speed gearbox to the rear wheels. The transmission is a stout unit and lacks any grinding or hitches. Acceleration is peppy about town and this Skyline easily hustles up to interstate speeds without breaking a sweat. It slows down impressively well, too, thanks to its 50/50 weight distribution and large anti-lock brakes. It rides nicely, and bumps are soaked up seamlessly thanks to new rear shocks. We also replaced the front sway bar links and caster arms for state inspection. Lastly, brand new tires were mounted and balanced at each corner. The new rubber decreases road noise and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
