The Gloria is a prolific chassis, and one of the best entry level right hand drive sedans you can have in your garage! Our 1997 has a few choice upgrades, a durable V6 drivetrain, and plenty of good maintenance performed to get you on track for the road ahead. Finished in white pearl (QT1) the exterior of this facelift model is set off by a 3 piece Artisan lip kit, 17" Advan Siena alloys, and aftermarket coilovers, which close up the gap between tire and fender. Showing just a few scuffs, dings, and miscellaneous defects from daily use this Gloria is in great shape overall although we were unable to verify the mileage due to an instrument cluster change. Still, she runs like a top and this Gloria would make for a perfect daily driver, weekend cruiser, or garage queen! Easy to own, maintain, and easier to fall in love with, this Y33 is a bonafide Japanese Classic!
The interior is everything you'd expect out of a premium Nissan product and then some. The seats are upholstered in a soft and supple grey cloth, the cabin is well insulated with premium materials, and there's enough power amenities on hand to make daily driving a breeze. The driver benefits from power adjustable seating and a steering column that also manually tilts to dial in a comfortable driving position. Controls for the power windows, locks and even electric folding side mirrors are within arms reach, and the cabin can be optimized for comfort thanks to an easy to use digital automatic climate control system. Adjacent to the HVAC, OEM audio is fully functional and dare we say it sounds good for being 25 years young. The dash is trimmed in a complementary soft touch grey vinyl, and dual airbags are present in the front and sides to keep the drive a bit safer for all. The rear bench can stow additional passengers if needed, and we love the ample trunk space the Y chassis has to offer. The headliner is tight and tidy and the carpets are protected by OEM mats too, save for some wear to the touch points it's really an ideal place to go about your day-to-day!
The VQ25DE can be a dependable and efficient motor in the right hands, and when we get our hands on one we make sure it's taken care of for the road ahead! This starts with a new 12v battery, which was dropped in to properly test the alternator and aid ignition. We also gave it an oil and filter service, and sealed up this VQ with a new rear main seal, and valve cover gaskets. A new engine air filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs provide a bit of a tune up, and this 2.5 wakes right up when you mash the throttle. Power is transferred via an automatic gearbox, which we changed the fluid on for good measure, and new coilovers were installed all the way around to assist handling. To keep the drivetrain safety compliant, new front caster arms were installed to get rid of some crusty old bushings. This lovely sedan now starts, steers and stops with ease and the Advans were wrapped in fresh all season rubber to keep you glued to the road. A fresh alignment will work to maximize tire wear as well. As an attractive commuter, weekend show warrior, or road trip pro, this Gloria does it all.
