Stock #6268
Stock #6268 Toyota was pumping out sporty RWD cars during the 1990s and this Chaser is one of their finest creations. This 1997 has aged gracefully, with its handsome styling, balanced handling, and well-equipped cabin. Finished in a classic White Pearl Mica (057), this sedan is set off by OEM rainguards, OEM optional aero, and pricey 17" Work Euroline alloys. Aside from a few light chips, dings, and scuffs the paint is in good nick and this sedan is fresh off a recent service. Offered with a mere 60k verified and documented miles on the clock, this baby is barely broken in. Perfect as a reliable daily driver, cool VIP cruiser, or unique family hauler, this turn key sedan is the ticket. Affordable, fun, sporty and practical, your Japanese Classic awaits! The cabin is in good shape overall and was cared for in a prior life. The seats are a highlight, trimmed in a velveteen tan cloth. They lack any major rips, stains, or tears and are soft to the touch. The driver unit is powered, sliding fore and aft, and works just as it should. Dual SRS side and front airbags are standard and the center stack includes functional OEM audio and digital automatic climate control. Cold A/C and piping hot heat can be mixed through the cabin and the power windows can drop at a moment's notice if you prefer natural ventilation. For daily use, the driver benefits from keyless entry, power-folding mirrors, and electric locks which all work in typical Toyota fashion. The dashboard lacks any cracking or fading and is low-lying, which promotes top tier visibility. The door cards and headliner are in fine shape, and aside from some light carpet stains it's hard to nitpick the cabin. Even the original owner's manuals and maintenance booklets are included in the purchase, as are the front carpet mats too! This balanced, rear-drive platform is rewarding to drive, even with a naturally aspirated engine and an automatic gearbox. Powered by a silky smooth 1JZ-GE that is fresh off an oil and filter service, the engine whirrs to life care of a new 12v battery. The 2.5L sounds a bit throatier than stock thanks to an HKS Dragger exhaust and the inherently balanced straight-six runs almost vibration-free thanks to six new spark plugs! A new fuel filter was also installed to keep unwanted contaminants out of the combustion chamber and the 1J pulls strong to redline. Linked to an automatic gearbox, this layout is ideal for traffic and your daily commute. The transmission shifts properly and feeds power to the rear axle. It gets up to highway speeds quickly and is peppy about town. It slows down confidently thanks to its ABS brakes and the front rotors were resurfaced to reduce vibration. The suspension gobbles up bumps and the power steering is light, yet on point. The 17" Eurolines are wrapped in new rubber at each corner, and the new tires reduce road noise and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come! *California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
