Stock #5845Honda's polarizing release of its new 2023 Integra has undoubtedly had an impact on brand loyalty from enthusiasts and consumers. Fortunately, we are proud to offer the purebred first iteration of the chassis, the DC2. This special 1997 Type R is finished in Championship White (NH-0). This striking Integra boasts a timeless silhouette and is set off by the OEM high-rise rear spoiler and the monochromatic multispoke factory alloys. Even better, the exterior is in terrific shape, showing only a few rock chips from day-to-day use although we did want to note the front bumper has been replaced during it's stint in Japan and although there is no record of accident history, the replacement was likely done due to a minor accident. Fresh off a recent service, this coupe is offered with a shockingly low 35k verified/documented miles on the clock. As a proper race-bred Japanese Classic, this Honda would be a great candidate for a tossable weekend warrior, collectible garage queen, or Cars and Coffee showstopper! The interior is purposefully designed, and features a host of amenities to make driving a breeze in pretty much any scenario. The factory Recaro bucket seats are in good shape for the age, although we wanted to note the driver's bucket has fallen victim to some typical bolster wear over the years. Fortunately, the rest of the materials show well and even the dash has resisted any major cracking or UV damage. The Kenwood audio works like a charm and is positioned alongside a fully functional OEM climate control unit in the carbon-trimmed center stack. As a summer cruiser, enthusiasts will be delighted to see that cold A/C works as advertised and hot heat isn't too far behind if you need it. Both power windows, door locks, and power mirrors work as advertised. The driver benefits from a tilt-adjustable steering column and a Type R specific OEM MOMO steering wheel. The rear bench can stuff in two small children or pets if needed, and the rear hatch space offers ample room for your luggage. Although the interior is in good shape overall, we must note some hairline cracks on the plastic rear side panels. For a versatile cockpit that can do double duty for daily errands or weekend track days, this Type R has the ticket.Under the bonnet, the B18C needs little introduction. Backed by VTEC and extraordinarily simple to service mechanicals, this high-revving four-banger is a great unit. The 1.8L is also fresh off a recent service by one of our trained technicians. The motor cranks over with haste, thanks to a new 12v battery, and an oil and filter service was performed on this B series to get lubrication schedules up to date. A new fuel filter keeps any unwanted gunk from entering the fuel system, and this 1.8 takes off like a rocket up to highway speeds. Both city and highway driving are composed, and the close-ratio 5-speed gearbox is responsive and stays in gear without any unwanted grinds or pop-outs and features a longer 5th gear. A Spoon ECU livens things up a bit and torque is fed through an aggressive aftermarket differential to the front wheels. Upgraded Ohlins adjustable suspension reduces the fender gap and allows this Teggy to corner like it's on rails. While firmer than stock, these dampers are a highlight of the driving experience and this chassis wills itself through turns much better than a FWD car should be able to. The steering is direct, and the standard ABS brakes have been improved with stainless steel lines and slotted brake rotors. The brakes bite down with ferocity, with more than sufficient stopping power for this performance-oriented chassis. Further aiding grip and handling, we've wrapped the factory 16s in fresh summer tires. Not only do they keep road noise down, but they'll also deliver plenty of grip in all weather conditions!*California Residents: In order to register a Grey Market vehicle in the state of California then it will have to be made CARB compliant first.
