If you want to bring up cult classic Honda's, this 1997 EK Civic is a great place to start. Touting top-tier fuel economy and reliability, this lovely hatch would make for a killer daily driver, an unmolested platform to modify, or a cool weekend cruiser. Finished in a Lapisluxury Blue (C24), this EL model catches the eye under the glint of the sun, and only notes a few light paint imperfections. Prior repairs in Japan include a replacement rear bumper. Fresh off a recent service, this 94k verified and documented mile example won't last long. Collectible, fun, and turn key ready to rock, this special Civic is a certified Japanese Classic and about as iconic as it gets!

Honda's designers were famous for their commitment to using quality materials and above-average ergonomics. Firstly, it's obvious that this cabin was cared for in a prior life, and even the owner's manuals and maintenance booklets are still in the glovebox. The upholstery steals the show and looks better than cars a quarter of its age. The soft textured cloth lacks any major rips, stains, or tears, and is comfortable and supportive. The driver and passenger both benefit from dual SRS airbags, and the dash itself lacks any cracking or distortion. To find the ideal driving position, the steering column can be adjusted and the electric switchgear including windows, locks, and mirrors are all close by, and work like a charm. The OEM audio and automatic climate control function as well, and make daily driving more enjoyable. The headliner, door cards, and carpet have escaped the past 25 years without any major damage, and even the security cover for the cargo area is on hand.

These front-drive Hondas do well in inclement weather, and have tons of cabin room thanks to their compact driveline. This Civic is powered by a D13B, which is fresh off an oil and filter service. A new 12v battery assists ignition, and a new set of spark plugs were installed while up on the lift. It idles with confidence thanks to a new fuel filter, and sends torque through a slick-shifting automatic gearbox. While you won't be terrorizing any C6 Corvettes from stoplight to stoplight, the D series makes enough power to get on the freeway and cruise for sustained periods, and the four-seater is peppy around town. New trailing arm bushings have been installed to refresh the suspension, and there is plenty of ground clearance if you happen to encounter some rough asphalt. The brakes are confident, the power steering is light, and the Honda goes right where you point it. To complete the list of to-do's in the shop, we mounted and balanced a new set of four all-season tires. The new rubber quiets down the ride a touch, and will last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
