The UCF21 Celsior is a tank. Heavy, smooth, and refined, this 1996 mows down highway miles with the best of them and comes in at an attainable price point. Finished in a classic Black (202) this saloon is set off by subtle rear privacy tint. Fresh off a recent service it boasts a mere 78k verified and documented miles on the ticker, and is turn-key ready to roll. Safe, inexpensive to service, and filled with premium features, this Japanese Classic would be an ideal daily driver or weekend cruiser. The standard bearer of Japanese luxury is this Celsior, and you won't want to miss out on this one!
The cabin is in a wonderful nick and was cared for in a prior life. The gray upholstery is soft to the touch and in above-average shape. It lacks any major rips, stains, or tears and swaddles each occupant. The driver benefits from an electric adjustable steering column and both front seats are powered. Dual front-powered seats are ideal for finding the most comfortable position during a long road trip. Power windows, power-folding side mirrors, and keyless entry with power locks all function and make daily use more enjoyable. Even the seat belt adjusters are powered in this thing. Toyota didn't cut any corners with this design! Dual SRS airbags add some peace of mind and the dashboard lacks any cracking or fading. Automatic dual-zone climate control can be dialed in to provide heat and cold Air Conditioning year-round. The headliner, door cards, and carpets have resisted major abuse over the years and even the OEM floor mats, maintenance booklets, and owner manuals are included with the purchase of this vehicle
The 1UZ-FE under the hood is an incredible unit. Powerful and smooth, the V8 has logged over a million miles on stateside examples. The engine whirrs to life care of a new 12v battery and is fresh off an oil and filter service. It idles with confidence thanks to a set of new spark plugs and pulls hard to redline. One of our trained techs has addressed some of the typical oil leaks we see when these beasts come in. New valve cover gaskets and cam seals were replaced, and we also replaced the front main seal, too. Many of our clients see the value of preventative maintenance so while we were in there we replaced the timing belt and water pump. With the 1UZ refreshed, we turned our attention to the rest of the driveline. The automatic gearbox feels stout and shifts are smooth as butter. Power is sent to the rear wheels and this cruiser sails up to highway speeds with ease. Sustained high-speed driving is effortless and the long wheelbase and smooth stock suspensions sort out the bumps nicely. The factory air ride also can be height adjusted to the drivers preference. The front ball joints and tension arm bushings were replaced for state inspection and this sedan is just begging for a road trip. The ABS brakes were improved with a set of new rotors and pads up front. The wheels are wrapped in new all-season rubber at each corner. The new rubber quiets down the ride and should last for tens of thousands of miles to come.
