When it comes to the R33 Skyline prices can be astronomical for special versions and rare examples. Luckily other models are much more attainable like this great looking 1996 GTS25 Type S example. This Series 2 R33 is finished in Nissan's desirable Sonic Silver (KR4) and is in great condition. The paint shines nicely and the body is straight showing only minor dings and scuffs from normal use. While the mileage is unknown and unverified it appears this R33 has been excellently maintained during it's life in Japan. The series 2 included minor changes like a more aggressive front bumper, headlights, and hood. The exterior remains unmodified save for a set of aftermarket 17" Work wheels which add a sportier look to this already great looking Japanese classic!
This R33 has been well kept and is quite clean. The dash is in great condition and shows no major UV damage or cracks from age. The driver seat does have some bolster wear but is otherwise clean as are the rest of the seats. The door panels are in fantastic condition with nice fabric and no rips. The carpets and headliner are also in nice shape with no major damage to note. The center console includes the automatic digital climate control which pipes in hot heat and cold A/C to keep you comfortable even when the weather outside isn't. The interior plastics are also very clean and intact. Dual SRS front airbags add another level of safety as well. The original owners manual is even included in the glove box.
Powering this R33 is Nissan's RB25DE, a naturally aspirated 2.5L 6 cylinder which provides adequate power and easily propels you to highway speeds and is right at home on long trips. Attached to an automatic gearbox, the transmission shifts nicely and makes dealing with traffic during your daily commute a breeze. The suspension takes on bumps both large and small comfortably while also providing good performance when the road gets twisty. The brakes are responsive and happily slow the coupe down when needed. A new battery was installed and the engine fires up quickly and settles into a smooth idle thanks to new spark plugs. A new engine air filter helps keep clean fresh air provided to the engine and a new fuel filter keeps the engine running smooth. A fresh oil and filter change along with 4 brand new tires finish up the recent maintenance list making this R33 ready to drive home today!
