When you think of an executive sedan, a few things come to mind in all likelihood. A quiet, well-appointed cabin, upscale styling, and a stout powerful driveline, right? The good news is that our 1996 Nissan Gloria fits the bill. Finished in Cloud White (QN0) and accessorized by some flashy FRP aero, 19" rolling stock, and some rear privacy tint, the body and paint are in good shape aside from some light chips, scratches, and scuffs. Powered by an aluminum VQ30DET, this VIP-inspired sedan has been recently serviced and is offered with only 60k verified and documented miles. Instead of spending thousands accessorizing a stock Y33, why not conveniently purchase one that is already done? For those who value striking looks and a premium feel, this unique five-seater would make for an excellent turn-key choice and is a certified Japanese Classic.

The cabin is spacious and includes several tasty upgrades and optional equipment. It should also be mentioned that these vehicles come with dual SRS airbags which were uncommon at the time of production. The dash is in good nick too, and lacks any cracking or distortion. The view of the road ahead is unobstructed and night-time driving is aided by a set of HID headlights. The faux wood trim breaks up the darker gray cabin and is accented by a pretty MoMo wood grain steering wheel. Electric options surround the driver, including electric folding mirrors, power locks, windows, and the optional sunroof. These all work as advertised making daily use enjoyable. The OEM TV/Nav/Radio unit works as well and the sound quality is decent. The digital climate control system is simple to use and blows cold A/C or heat at the twist of a knob. The gray upholstery is in good shape overall and lacks any major rips, holes, or tears. Although there is some very light staining that is hard to notice, but if we were being critical of the cabin that's likely the biggest thing to note. On the positive side both front seats are completely powered, which is rare for vehicles of this era. They work flawlessly and are supportive on longer drives. We also wanted to mention a missing ashtray assembly which has been blocked off so it doesn't affect the interior aesthetics. The door cards and headliner have been maintained quite well, and the carpets were protected by the factory carpet floor mats which are still sitting in the trunk. Overall this Gloria was cared for in a prior life and it shows!

The front-engine, rear-drive luxury sedan layout underpins this stellar saloon, as you'd expect. What we love about the platform is the modern feel of the drivetrain, and this VQ is fresh off a recent oil and filter service. The 3.0L comes to life with the twist of the key and benefits from a new 12v battery installed here in our shop. The VQ sounds great thanks to a new air filter element for the HKS intake, and the V6 stays topped up on lubricant thanks to new valve cover gaskets. You can hear some turbo flutter off the throttle, and a Blitz BOV adds to the aural sensation when getting on the accelerator pedal. Torque is fed through a slick-shifting automatic gearbox and makes the Gloria moves impressively. The power delivery is surprising and at highway speeds, the sedan is quiet, predictable, composed, and stable. The suspension can handle daily use and abuse, and the brakes are confident, as well. The steering is power-assisted and the 19" Anhelo wheels are all wrapped in brand new rubber at all four corners. The new tires reduce cabin noise and will deliver tens of thousands of miles or premium grip for years to come. We also aligned the sedan so she tracks properly and reduces unnecessary wear on the new all seasons.
