The 90 series Land Cruiser Prado is one really well-built truck. It offers loads of refinement, plenty of space, and a gem of a drivetrain. This 1996 is finished in a Jewel Green over Metallic Gray two-tone (K12) and accessorized with a polished factory brushguard, amber foglamps, and a set of OEM rainguards. Aside from some light dings and scuffs, the body is in good shape overall. Offered with only 143k verified and documented miles, the 1KZ 3.0L is barely broken in! As an all-weather cruiser or family hauler, this rig is ideal, and despite its size, it actually performs quite well! Recently serviced and legally imported, this Japanese Classic receives high marks for style, practicality, and its off-road prowess.

The cabin is clean and nicely appointed, and this Prado exudes quality. There were also some neat safety features made standard including dual SRS front airbags for some added peace of mind. The dash is in good shape and lacks any cracking or UV-related distortion. The tall ride height and low beltline allows for top-tier visibility, which is helpful when you're driving a big truck. An OEM field monitor keeps an eye on the direction of travel and the incline of the slope you are traversing in this Land Cruiser. Although the clock isn't working and the audio was removed, the rest of the cabin is intact and the electric equipment all works as advertised. Power windows, locks, and electric folding mirrors make daily use enjoyable, and the simple to use automatic climate system is standard. The A/C blows cold and the heat is boiling hot in case you're planning on winter use. The blue and gray upholstery contrasts well against the neutral gray tones of the cabin and it really pops. The material is soft to the touch, supportive, and durable. Adventurous types will love the fact the second row folds completely forward and creates a sleeping surface. The rear door is side hinged and the cargo area can accommodate tons of payload. If you're planning a longer trip the factory roof rails are perfect for a roof box and awning. Well equipped and cavernous, this cabin was cared for in a prior life and is ready to start the next chapter in its story.

The body on frame platform that underpins this J95 Cruiser is great for tackling less than ideal conditions and is more robust than modern unibody designs. This big bad Prado is powered by an intercooled 1KZ-TE. It's fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up immediately thanks to two new 12v batteries. The massive four-banger idles confidently and the engine benefits from a new air filter to maximize power and economy. The slick-shifting automatic gearbox makes daily use manageable and a full-time 4WD system is standard. If the going gets rocky, a low-range transfer case can assist alongside the automatic center locking differential. One of our trained techs has also performed a front differential service while it was on the lift and the Land Cruiser drives like a champ. Acceleration is better than you'd expect from this behemoth and the platform easily gets up to highway merging speeds. The brakes are confident and the power steering is light and easy to articulate for parking purposes. The five-spoke alloys are all wrapped in brand new grippy all-terrain Falkens. They will last for tens of thousands of miles to come and deliver plenty of all-season grip! We even replaced the spare tire, to match!
