Our flashy, turbodiesel Land Cruiser is a refined and capable JDM SUV. This eight-seat TZ has been refinished in a Voodoo Blue (8T6) over Matte Black two-tone and is fresh off a recent service, too. The new lift and lightweight 16" WEDS alloys deliver a premium ride and tough aesthetic. Aside from a few minor imperfections, the body is in good nick and a subtle set of OEM rain guards completes the look. At only 159k verified and documented miles, this practical, punchy, and efficient Prado is barely broken in. For those who want a safe, distinctive, and performance-oriented off-roader, this Japanese Classic is it. As a daily driver, spacious overlander, or weekend trail rig goes, this 1996 would be a perfect ride and is turn-key ready to rock!

The cabin is in really good shape overall and comes with plenty of electric equipment and power upgrades. We love the electric sunroof and OEM keyless entry system which both work like a charm. Along with the electric windows, locks, and mirrors, which make daily use more enjoyable. We did want to note the power folding function on the side mirrors is no longer operable. A functional OEM field monitor keeps an eye on conditions outside the cabin, but with all this equipment, we wonder why you'd ever want to brave the elements outside! The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding and the driver benefits from a tilting steering column and adjustable lumbar support. The dash lacks any cracking or distortion and features dual SRS airbags and a functional automatic climate control system. The controls are all at hand and the Prado has dedicated rear-seat climate controls with A/C and heat on standby. A large glove box houses the original owner's manuals and some service records, and the center console is deep and wide for additional storage. The headliner and door cards have withstood major wear and tear over the years, and the upholstery has also held up well. The rare third-row option has been ticked and the gray and charcoal cloth lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The third row can be removed completely or stowed away, allowing room in the rear area for sleeping if out camping. That's not to say everything is perfect, as the radio screen is cracked, there is plastic wear on the steering wheel, and some light staining on the carpets. Still, at 25 years of age, it's remarkable how well it held up, and it was obviously cared for in a prior life.

Providing that beauty is more than skin deep, this tough body on frame ute is powered by Toyota's legendary 1KZ-TE turbodiesel. This intercooled version makes more torque than earlier non-intercooled units and is fresh off an oil and filter service. The 3.0L starts up promptly thanks to two new 12v batteries. These will last for years to come and allow those interested in camping to use a few more accessories without feeling guilty. While up on the lift one of our trained technicians replaced the valve cover gasket and added a new 3" Rough Country lift. The ride quality is really nice and a fresh alignment keeps this rig on track. That should maximize the tire life on the 33" Falken Rubitrek all-terrain tires we installed. Yes, we also took care of changing the spare tire to match! The brand new rubber will last for tens of thousands of miles to come. The steering is power-assisted and light, making parking a snap. The brakes are confident, too, and stop this heavyweight with ease. Best of all the full-time 4WD system features a low gear setting and center locker in case the going gets tough. The truck makes quick work of loose surfaces and sand, should you need to traverse some non-paved terrain. This sturdy truck drives is like a modern vehicle and overall it's really tough to complain about her! We have plenty of clients who are surprised by how great these are as daily drivers and how low the running costs generally are!
