The CR-V is still Honda's most successful crossover, and its humble beginnings started in 1996, with this model. This AWD example is finished in Zinc Silver Metallic (NH-595M) and offered with only 74k verified and documented miles. Accented by 15" Work Septimo alloys, privacy tint, and a set of smoked rainguards, the body is in good shape aside from some lights dings, and chips associated with normal use. Fresh off a recent service, the all-weather hauler is turn-key ready for daily use. Reliable, inexpensive to own, and fun to drive, this adorable RD1 is a lovable Japanese Classic you won't want to miss out on!

The cabin is more spacious than you might expect from the outside and includes plenty of power amenities and storage options. The view of the road ahead is clear and commanding as this CR-V is taller than your average sedan. The dash doesn't have any cracking or distortion to note, however, there is a JDM navi mount still attached to it. The OEM audio was upgraded at some point to a Carrozzeria head unit and it delivers on a more modern feel. It sounds decent and includes a 3.5mm auxiliary input. The automatic climate control system is easy to use and blows cold A/C for those living in warmer climates. The heat also works like a charm, which is ideal for this time of year locally. Power windows, locks, and mirrors are all standard equipment and function properly other than the driver's side power-folding mirror feature. They make daily use enjoyable and the driver even receives a folding center drink tray and an adjustable steering column for ultimate comfort. The gray textured cloth is in wonderful shape and lacks any major rips, stains, or tears. The seating arrangement is flexible if you are hauling large cargo, and the tailgate area includes a 12v charging outlet and an OEM picnic table. The headliner, door cards, and carpets have withstood any major abuse and it's clear this CR-V was cared for in a prior life.

The Honda powertrains of the mid-1990s were some of the best ever produced by the brand. The B20B that powers this rig is peppy and efficient. This 2.0L is fresh off an oil and filter service and starts up promptly with the twist of the key. A new 12v battery will last for another few years to come and will assist in the coldest of winter snaps. While in our service department, one of our trained techs replaced the old serpentine belts with a new set, installed a new thermostat, and new set of wiper blades. The four-cylinder is mated to an automatic gearbox which features a column-mounted shifter to maximize interior space. Shifts are seamless and this little ute has enough power to merge safely onto the highway and cruise at sustained interstate speeds. The brakes are confident and the CR-V is much lighter on its feet than massive modern SUVs that lumber about our city streets nowadays. The exterior dimensions allow for convenient parking and the power steering is light and easy to articulate. We replaced the front top hats to give the suspension a new lease on life and the Honda can handle the rigors of daily use and abuse on our rough American tarmac. The wheels have new Falken all-season tires mounted at all four corners. They quiet the ride down noticeably and will provide tens of thousands of miles of year-round use to come. We even replaced the spare for a bit more peace of mind!
